교육부는 2026년 9월 1일 자 인사 발령을 통해 강원특별자치도교육청 부교육감에 김태훈 현 대구광역시교육청 부교육감을 임명했다.

The Ministry of Education has appointed Kim Tae-hoon, currently Deputy Superintendent of the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, as the new Deputy Superintendent of the Gangwon State Office of Education, effective September 1, 2026.

김태훈 신임 부교육감은 1970년 강원 강릉에서 태어나 1988년 강릉고등학교를 졸업하고, 1992년 서울대학교 국민윤리교육과를 졸업했다.

Born in Gangneung, Gangwon, in 1970, Kim graduated from Gangneung High School in 1988 and earned a degree in National Ethics Education from Seoul National University in 1992.

김 부교육감은 1994년 제37회 행정고등고시에 합격해 공직에 입문했다. 이후 교육부 지방교육자치과장과 대통령비서실 교육비서관 행정관 등을 거쳐 2015년 일반직고위공무원으로 승진했다.

Kim began his public service career after passing the 37th Higher Civil Service Examination in 1994. He later served as Director of the Local Education Autonomy Division at the Ministry of Education and as an administrative officer to the Secretary to the President for Education before being promoted to the Senior Civil Service in 2015.

이후 전북대학교 사무국장, 교육부 정책기획관·직업교육정책관, 대통령비서실 교육비서관 선임행정관, 경상국립대학교 사무국장, 교육부 교육복지돌봄지원국장 등 교육행정 분야의 주요 보직을 두루 역임했다. 2024년 1월 15일부터는 대구광역시교육청 부교육감으로 근무해 왔다.

He subsequently held a series of senior positions, including Secretary General of Jeonbuk National University, Director General for Policy Planning and Director General for Vocational Education Policy at the Ministry of Education, Senior Administrative Officer to the Secretary to the President for Education, Secretary General of Gyeongsang National University, and Director General for Education Welfare and Care Support at the Ministry of Education. He has served as Deputy Superintendent of the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education since January 15, 2024.

김 부교육감은 교육부와 지역 교육행정의 주요 보직을 두루 거친 정통 교육행정 전문가다. 폭넓은 정책 기획력과 풍부한 현장 소통 경험을 바탕으로 교육정책 현안 조정과 조직 운영 분야에서 높은 평가를 받고 있다.

Kim is widely recognized as a seasoned education administration expert with extensive experience in both the central government and regional education administration. He is highly regarded for his policy-planning capabilities, field-based communication experience, and ability to coordinate educational issues and manage organizations.

오성배 전 부교육감의 퇴직준비교육으로 약 두 달간 이어진 공백이 김 부교육감의 취임으로 해소됨에 따라, 강삼영 교육감을 보좌하며 강원교육 발전과 미래형 교육 혁신을 추진하는 데 한층 속도가 붙을 것으로 기대된다.

Kim’s appointment fills a vacancy of approximately two months following former Deputy Superintendent Oh Seong-bae’s pre-retirement training. Working alongside Superintendent Kang Sam-young, Kim is expected to help accelerate the development of education in Gangwon and advance future-oriented educational innovation.

김태훈 신임 부교육감의 취임식은 9월 3일 오전 9시 강원특별자치도교육청 본청 2층 대회의실에서 개최될 예정이다.

Kim’s inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. on September 3 in the main conference room on the second floor of the Gangwon State Office of Education headquarters.
