발한동 사회단체 한뜻…새봄맞이 환경정화 ‘구슬땀’

Community Groups in Balhan-dong Join Forces for Spring Cleanup Effort

동해시 발한동행정복지센터는 지난 4월 30일 관내 사회단체와 함께 ‘새봄맞이 대청소 환경정화 활동’을 실시했다.

The Balhan-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Donghae carried out a large-scale “Spring Environmental Cleanup Campaign” on April 30 together with local community organizations.

이날 활동에는 발한동통장협의회를 비롯한 9개 단체, 60여 명이 참여해 유동 인구가 많은 지역은 물론 골목 구석구석에 방치된 적치 쓰레기를 집중 수거하며 쾌적한 환경 조성에 힘을 보탰다.

 About 60 members from nine local organizations, including the Balhan-dong Residents’ Representatives Association, participated in the activity. Volunteers collected illegally dumped waste and litter not only in high-traffic areas but also throughout narrow alleys and hidden corners of the neighborhood, helping create a cleaner and more pleasant environment.

#배미경 발한동장은 “5월 연휴를 앞두고 발한동을 찾는 관광객들에게 깨끗한 이미지를 제공할 수 있게 됐다”며 “바쁜 와중에도 내 일처럼 적극 참여해 주신 사회단체 회원들께 감사드린다”고 전했다.

 Bae Mi-kyung, head of Balhan-dong, said, “Ahead of the May holiday season, we are pleased to provide visitors to Balhan-dong with a cleaner and more welcoming image,” adding, “I sincerely thank all the members of local organizations who actively participated despite their busy schedules and treated this effort as their own community responsibility.”
