강원특별자치도교육청은 4월 22일, 도내 장애학생의 인권 보호와 인권침해 예방을 위한 든든한 동반자로서 ‘장애학생 인권지원단’ 운영을 본격화하며 따뜻한 변화를 예고했다.

On April 22, the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education announced a meaningful step forward by launching the “Student Human Rights Support Group,” pledging to stand as a strong partner in protecting the rights of students with disabilities and preventing rights violations.

이날 열린 정기 협의회에는 강원특수교육지원센터와 내·외부 전문가들이 함께 모여, 장애학생 인권 보호 정책의 방향을 공유하고 보다 실질적인 지원 방안을 모색하는 시간을 가졌다.

At the regular council meeting, experts from the Gangwon Special Education Support Center and both internal and external members gathered to share policy directions and discuss practical ways to strengthen support for students’ human rights.

매월 찾아가는 ‘정기 지원’, 현장 중심의 따뜻한 실천

Monthly On-Site Visits: A Hands-On Approach with Heart

장애학생 인권지원단은 특수학교와 일반학교 특수학급을 대상으로 매월 1회 이상 직접 학교를 방문해 학생들의 권리를 살피고, 교육 현장의 어려움을 함께 나누며 해결책을 모색한다.

The support groups will visit special schools and special education classes at least once a month, directly engaging with students and educators to safeguard rights and collaboratively address challenges in the field.

‘더봄학생’까지 품는 촘촘한 보호망

A Stronger Safety Net for the Most Vulnerable Students

특히 학교폭력이나 아동학대 등 인권침해 경험이 있거나 위험에 노출된 ‘더봄학생’을 위한 맞춤형 지원이 강화된다. 관계 기관 간 긴밀한 협력으로 사각지대 없는 보호 체계를 구축해 나간다.

Special attention will be given to “The-Bom Students,” those who have experienced or are at risk of abuse or violence. Through close coordination among institutions, a comprehensive safety net will be established to ensure no student is left behind.

교육공동체 전체로 확산되는 인권 감수성

Spreading Human Rights Awareness Across the Entire Educational Community

장애인권교육과 성교육, 그리고 교사와 학부모를 위한 연수를 병행함으로써, 학생을 넘어 교육공동체 전체가 서로를 이해하고 존중하는 문화를 만들어간다.

By offering human rights education, sexuality education, and training programs for teachers and parents, the initiative aims to foster a culture of understanding and respect throughout the entire educational community.

#이인범 문화체육특수교육과장은 “장애학생이 안전하고 행복한 학교생활을 누릴 수 있도록 현장 중심의 지원을 강화하겠다”며, “인권 존중 문화가 자연스럽게 스며드는 학교를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

Director Lee In-beom stated, “We will strengthen field-oriented support so that students with disabilities can enjoy safe and happy school lives,” adding, “We will strive to create schools where respect for human rights becomes a natural part of everyday life.”
