“다름의 이해, 마음의 이음”… 음악으로 이어진 공감의 무대

강원특별자치도교육청은 4월 14일 오전 10시, 교육청 6층 대강당에서 전 직원을 대상으로 ‘다름의 이해, 마음의 이음’을 주제로 한 제46회 장애인의 날 기념행사를 개최했다. 이번 행사는 단순한 기념식을 넘어, 서로의 차이를 이해하고 공감으로 이어가는 의미 있는 자리로 마련됐다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education held the 46th Disability Day commemorative event on April 14 at 10 a.m. in the main auditorium, under the theme “Understanding Differences, Connecting Hearts.” More than a formal ceremony, the event was designed as a meaningful occasion to foster empathy and mutual understanding.

이번 행사는 장애인식개선 교육과 연계하여 진행되었으며, 발달장애인과 비장애인이 함께하는 통합오케스트라 ‘아인스바움’의 공연이 중심을 이뤘다. 음악을 통해 차이를 넘어서는 감동의 메시지를 전하며 참석자들의 깊은 공감을 이끌어냈다.

The program was linked to disability awareness education and featured a performance by the inclusive orchestra “Einsbaum,” composed of both individuals with developmental disabilities and non-disabled members. Through music, the performance conveyed a powerful message that transcends differences, resonating deeply with the audience.

‘아인스바움’은 ‘하나의 나무’를 뜻하는 사회적 기업으로, 장애인과 비장애인, 경계선지능인 등 다양한 구성원이 함께 어우러져 진정한 사회통합의 모델을 구현하고 있는 단체다. 이들은 음악이라는 공통의 언어로 서로를 이해하고 하나의 하모니를 만들어가고 있다.

“Einsbaum,” meaning “one tree,” is a social enterprise that brings together individuals with diverse backgrounds—including those with disabilities, non-disabled individuals, and people with borderline intellectual functioning—to model true social integration. Through the universal language of music, they build understanding and harmony.

‘음악으로 이야기하는 다양성 존중 콘서트’는 발달장애인 인식개선 강사의 스토리텔링과 함께 통합오케스트라 연주, 타악기 퍼포먼스, 노래 등 다채로운 무대로 구성됐다. 공연은 단순한 예술을 넘어 삶의 이야기와 메시지를 전달하는 감동의 장이 되었다.

The “Concert on Respecting Diversity Through Music” featured storytelling by a disability awareness instructor with developmental disabilities, alongside orchestral performances, percussion acts, and vocal stages. The concert went beyond art, becoming a moving platform that delivered life stories and meaningful messages.

특히 발달장애인 강사가 들려준 유년기와 청소년기의 경험, 그리고 통합 오케스트라 활동을 통해 변화된 삶의 이야기는 깊은 울림을 전했다. 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 하나의 선율을 완성해가는 과정은 교직원들에게 ‘다름’이 아닌 ‘함께’의 가치를 체감하게 했다.

In particular, the instructor’s personal story—from childhood to adolescence and the transformative impact of participating in the orchestra—left a lasting impression. The process of creating a unified harmony together highlighted not differences, but the value of togetherness for all attendees.

한편, 장애인의 날을 맞아 각급학교에서도 다양한 장애이해교육 프로그램이 운영된다. 유치원 ‘마음안경’, 초등학교 ‘대한민국 1교시-정말 좋아해’, 중·고등학교 ‘알라르간도’ 등 맞춤형 프로그램과 함께 제28회 전국 학생 백일장도 진행되며, 장애공감문화 확산에 힘을 보탠다.

Meanwhile, schools across all levels are also running tailored disability awareness programs, including “Mind Glasses” for kindergartens, “First Period in Korea – I Really Like It” for elementary schools, and “Allargando” for middle and high schools. Additionally, the 28th National Student Essay Contest is being held to further promote a culture of empathy.

#이인범 문화체육특수교육과장은 “이번 공연이 장애에 대한 편견을 허물고 서로를 이해하는 계기가 되었기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 장애학생과 비장애학생이 함께 성장하는 포용적 교육 환경 조성을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee In-beom, Director of Culture, Sports and Special Education, stated, “We hope this performance helped break down prejudices and foster understanding.” He added, “We will continue striving to create an inclusive educational environment where students with and without disabilities grow together.”
