강원교육청, 직업계고 학교장 협의회 개최… 미래 신산업 대응·현장 중심 직업교육 강화

강원특별자치도교육청은 3월 19일(목), 도교육청 6층 대강당에서 도내 직업계고등학교 학교장 및 직업교육부장을 대상으로 ‘2026학년도 상반기 직업계고학교장 협의회’를 개최했다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education held the “2026 First-Half Principals’ Meeting for Vocational High Schools” on March 19 (Thu) at the main auditorium on the 6th floor of the office, attended by principals and heads of vocational education departments from vocational high schools across the province.

이번 협의회에는 2029년 개교 예정인 신남고(강원산림과학고)를 포함해 도내 직업계고 30개교가 참여했으며, 미래 산업 변화에 대응하는 직업교육 정책의 실행력을 강화하고 학교 현장과의 실질적인 소통을 확대하는 데 중점을 두었다.

A total of 30 vocational high schools, including the newly planned Sinnam High School (Gangwon Forest Science High School) scheduled to open in 2029, participated. The meeting focused on enhancing the execution of vocational education policies in response to industrial changes and strengthening practical communication with schools.

주요 논의 내용으로는 △미래 신산업 및 학생 수요를 반영한 학과 재구조화 방향 △강원형 마이스터고(과) 추진 △직업계고 학점제 및 실무역량 강화 교육과정 운영 △안전하고 내실 있는 현장실습 및 고졸 취업 활성화 방안 △실습실 및 기숙사 신·증축 △직업계고 인식 개선 및 홍보 △안전한 실습환경 구축 등 직업교육 주요 정책 과제가 포함됐다.

Key agenda items included restructuring departments based on future industries and student demand, promoting Gangwon-style Meister high schools, operating a credit-based system and strengthening practical competencies, enhancing safe and effective field training and employment for high school graduates, expanding facilities such as labs and dormitories, improving public awareness of vocational education, and building safe training environments.

특히 이번 협의회에서는 학교 현장의 의견을 반영한 심층 질의응답이 진행되어 정책 이해도를 높이고, 다양한 요구사항을 정책에 반영하기 위한 소통 중심의 자리가 마련됐다.

In particular, an in-depth Q&A session based on feedback from school sites was conducted, enhancing understanding of policies and serving as a communication-centered platform to reflect diverse needs.

도교육청은 협의회에서 제시된 의견과 개선사항을 종합적으로 검토하여 향후 직업교육 정책에 적극 반영할 계획이다.

The Office of Education plans to comprehensively review the opinions and suggestions presented at the meeting and actively incorporate them into future vocational education policies.

#김성래 중등교육과장은 “이번 협의회는 단순한 정책 전달을 넘어 학교 현장과 함께 직업교육의 방향을 구체화하는 자리”라며 “앞으로도 변화하는 산업 환경에 선제적으로 대응하고 학생의 진로 역량 강화를 위한 현장 중심 지원을 지속하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kim Seong-rae, Director of Secondary Education, stated, “This meeting goes beyond policy delivery and serves as a platform to shape the direction of vocational education together with schools. We will continue to provide field-oriented support to proactively respond to changing industries and strengthen students’ career competencies.”
