“Launching a Personal Information Protection Campaign to Mark the New School Year”

강원특별자치도교육청은 새 학기를 맞아 개인정보보호 문화를 확산하고 교육 현장에서 지켜야 할 개인정보보호 인식을 높이기 위해 3월 1일(일) 춘천 강원일보 본사 앞 특설행사장에서 열리는 3·1절 건강달리기 대회에서 개인정보보호 홍보 활동을 전개한다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education will conduct a personal information protection campaign during the March 1st Independence Movement Day Health Marathon, to be held on Sunday, March 1, at a special venue in front of the Gangwon Ilbo headquarters in Chuncheon. The campaign aims to promote a culture of data protection and strengthen awareness of privacy practices in schools as the new semester begins.

강원특별자치도교육감을 비롯한 간부급 공무원, 개인정보보호 책임자 및 담당자, 도교육청 직원들은 이번 3·1절 건강달리기 대회에 직접 참가해 개인정보보호를 다짐하고, 참가자들을 대상으로 ‘새 학기의 첫걸음, 개인정보 보호로 시작해요!’를 주제로 홍보 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

The Superintendent of Education, senior officials, data protection officers, and staff members will participate in the marathon, pledging their commitment to safeguarding personal information. They will also engage with participants under the theme, “Start the New Semester with Personal Information Protection!”

특히 △신입생 및 졸업생 개인정보 관리 철저 △학급 편성 결과 게시 시 불필요한 개인정보 포함 여부 점검 △단체 채팅방에 개인정보가 포함된 자료 전송 금지 △문서 내 개인정보 유출 방지 △개인정보 취급자 교육 강화 등 새 학기에 특히 유의해야 할 개인정보보호 사항을 집중 홍보할 계획이다.

In particular, the campaign will highlight key privacy measures for the new semester, including: strict management of personal information for new and graduating students; careful review to prevent unnecessary disclosure of personal data when posting class assignments; prohibition of sharing materials containing personal information in group chats; prevention of personal data leaks in official documents; and strengthened training for personnel handling personal information.

또한 도교육청은 공문과 학교 누리집을 통해 ‘새 학기 맞이 개인정보 보호 사항’을 카드뉴스 형태로 안내하는 등 교육 현장의 개인정보보호 실천을 적극 지원할 방침이다.

In addition, the Office of Education plans to distribute card-news style guidance on “Personal Information Protection for the New Semester” through official documents and school websites, further supporting practical privacy protection efforts across educational settings.

#이승욱 학교지원과장은 “제107주년 3·1절 건강달리기 대회는 새 학기의 문을 여는 강원교육 가족들의 힘찬 다짐의 장”이라며 “오늘 함께 내딛는 발걸음이 우리 아이들의 꿈을 향한 열정으로 이어지길 기대한다”고 말했다. 이어 “학생과 학부모의 소중한 개인정보를 안전하게 보호하는 것은 신뢰받는 교육의 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 체계적인 교육과 홍보를 통해 모두가 안심하고 배움에 전념할 수 있는 건강한 교육 환경을 조성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee Seung-uk, Director of the School Support Division, stated, “The 107th March 1st Health Marathon serves as a meaningful occasion for the Gangwon education community to renew its commitment at the start of a new semester. We hope that the steps we take together today will lead to our children’s passion for achieving their dreams.” He added, “Safeguarding the valuable personal information of students and parents is the foundation of trusted education. We will continue to foster a safe educational environment where everyone can focus on learning with peace of mind through systematic training and outreach.”
