원주시, 반도체 생태계 강화를 위한 산학연관 협력 세미나 개최

Wonju, South Korea — September 22, 2025 – Wonju City held a seminar on industry-academia-government collaboration for semiconductor industry development at Gangneung-Wonju National University on September 22. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation and explore strategies to build a sustainable regional semiconductor ecosystem.

대한민국 원주, 2025년 9월 22일 – 원주시는 9월 22일 강릉원주대학교에서 ‘반도체산업 육성을 위한 산학연관 협력 방안 세미나’를 개최하고, 지역 반도체 생태계 강화를 위한 협력과 전략을 모색했다.

The seminar was hosted by Wonju City and organized by the Gangwon Industry-Academia Convergence Institute. Participants included Mayor Won Kang-soo, industry leaders, academic experts, and institutional representatives. Local university students also joined actively, adding energy and fresh perspectives to the discussions.

이번 세미나는 원주시가 주최하고 강원산학융합원이 주관했으며, 원강수 원주시장을 비롯한 기업, 학계, 기관 전문가들이 참석했다. 특히 지역 대학생들의 활발한 참여로 현장 분위기는 더욱 활기를 띠었다.

Keynote speaker Kim Jin-guk, former Vice President of SK Hynix, shared insights on advancing regional semiconductor competitiveness. Additional presentations by Lee Hee-seok, Director at the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), and Professor Ko Kwang-man of Sangji University provided diverse perspectives on strategies for industry growth.

기조연설을 맡은 김진국 전 SK하이닉스 부사장은 지역 반도체산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 심도 있는 견해를 제시했다. 이어 한국산업기술진흥원(KIAT) 이희석 실장과 상지대학교 고광만 교수도 발표를 통해 다양한 육성 전략을 제안했다.

Building on the Semiconductor Industry Promotion Ordinance enacted earlier this year, Wonju City emphasized its commitment to fostering the sector and strengthening industry-academia-government collaboration as a foundation for sustainable growth.

원주시는 올해 제정한 반도체산업 육성 조례를 기반으로, 산학연관 협력 체계를 강화하고 반도체산업 육성 전략을 구체화하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.

원강수 원주시장은 구체적인 추진 사업으로 ▲학성동 한국반도체교육원 건립 ▲부론일반산업단지 내 반도체 신뢰성 검증센터 ▲미래차 반도체 소모품 실증센터 착공을 소개했다.

“These projects will serve as a growth engine for both the local economy and talent development,” Mayor Won said. “They will also create valuable opportunities for students at Gangneung-Wonju National University and other regional institutions.”

원 시장은 “이러한 사업들이 지역 경제와 인재 양성의 성장 동력이 될 것”이라며, “강릉원주대학교를 비롯한 지역 대학 학생들에게도 큰 기회가 될 것”이라고 강조했다.
