강원특별자치도의회, 설악산 환경정화 봉사활동으로 구슬땀 흘려

강원특별자치도의회(의장#김시성)는 6월 23일(월), 아름다운 속초 설악산국립공원 소공원~비선대 구간에서 뜻깊은 환경정화 봉사활동을 실시했다.

On Monday, June 23, the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Council (Chairman Kim Si-seong) carried out a meaningful environmental cleanup activity along the scenic trail from Sogongwon to Biseondae in Seoraksan National Park, Sokcho.

이번 봉사활동은 김시성 의장을 비롯해 강정호·원미희 도의원, 양원모 의회사무처장 및 의회사무처 직원 등 50여 명이 참여했으며, 탐방로 인근에 자생하고 있는 외래식물 제거 및 쓰레기 수거 활동으로 진행됐다.

The activity involved over 50 participants, including Chairman Kim Si-seong, Provincial Council Members Kang Jeong-ho and Won Mi-hee, Secretary General Yang Won-mo, and other council staff. The team focused on removing invasive plant species and collecting litter along the trail.

설악산 소공원~비선대 구간은 연중 수많은 탐방객이 찾는 강원특별자치도의 대표적인 자연휴식처로, 강원특별자치도의회는 환경 보호와 생물다양성 보전을 위해 자발적인 정화 활동을 추진했다.

The Sogongwon–Biseondae route is one of Gangwon Province’s most visited natural retreats throughout the year. The council’s voluntary effort underscores its commitment to environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.

김시성 의장은 "설악산의 소중한 자연을 지키는 일에 도의회가 앞장설 수 있어 매우 뜻깊었다.”며, "이번 봉사활동을 통해 도의원과 직원들이 한마음으로 지역사회의 환경 보전에 힘을 보탤 수 있어 의미 있는 시간이었다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.

Chairman Kim stated, “It was deeply meaningful for the council to take the lead in protecting the precious nature of Mt. Seorak,” adding, “Through this volunteer activity, council members and staff united to contribute to the preservation of our local environment.”

한편, 강원특별자치도의회는 지난 3월 횡성군 둔내면에서 농촌일손돕기 봉사활동을 추진했으며, 매해 겨울 사랑의 연탄나눔 봉사활동을 지속적으로 추진해 왔다.

Previously in March, the council conducted a rural volunteer program in Dunnae-myeon, Hoengseong County, and has consistently organized the "Briquette of Love" campaign during winter each year.

이러한 계절·지역을 아우르는 지속 가능한 봉사활동을 통해, 강원특별자치도의회는 도민과 함께하는 사회적 책임을 실천하고, 따뜻한 지역 나눔문화 확산에 앞장서고 있다.

Through sustainable volunteer activities across seasons and regions, the Gangwon Provincial Council continues to fulfill its social responsibility alongside residents and promotes a culture of warmth and community sharing.
