강원특별자치도교육청교육연구원(원장 #이수인)은 6월 20일(금) 14시, 국립춘천박물관 대강당에서 ‘2025년 제1차 강원교육 공개토론회’를 개최한다.

The Gangwon Provincial Office of Education’s Institute for Educational Research (Director: Lee Soo-in) will host the “2025 1st Gangwon Education Public Forum” at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, in the main auditorium of the National Chuncheon Museum.

이번 공개토론회는 강원특별자치도내 교원, 교육전문직, 도의원, 시군의원, 강원교육발전자문위원, 강원도민, 경북교육청연구원, 부산교육청 교육정책연구소, 충남교육청 교육과정평가정보원 등 230여 명이 함께 모여 ‘국제 바칼로레아(IB) 교육’을 통한 강원교육의 미래 방향을 모색하는 공론의 장으로 마련되었다.

This forum will bring together over 230 participants—including teachers, education professionals, provincial and municipal council members, advisory committee members, and residents from Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, as well as representatives from the research institutes of Gyeongbuk, Busan, and Chungnam Offices of Education—to explore the future direction of Gangwon education through the lens of International Baccalaureate (IB) education.

“IB, Opening the Path for Gangwon Education” — Lectures, Panel Discussion, and Q&A

이번 공개토론회는 “IB, 강원교육의 길을 열다”를 주제로, 강의와 종합토론, 질의응답 순으로 진행된다.

Under the theme “IB, Opening the Path for Gangwon Education,” the event will include keynote lectures, a comprehensive panel discussion, and a Q&A session.

주제 강의는 △임유나 대구교육대학교 교수가 ‘IB의 이해와 필요성’ △이경숙 대구광역시교육청 미래교육담당 장학관이 ‘대구 IB 이야기 - IB 1.0시대의 성과와 2.0시대 방향’을 발표할 예정이다.

Keynote lectures will be delivered by Professor Lim Youna of Daegu National University of Education (“Understanding and Necessity of IB”) and Director Lee Kyung-sook of Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (“Daegu’s IB Journey — Achievements of IB 1.0 and Vision for IB 2.0”).

종합토론은 “IB, 강원교육을 만나다”를 주제로 임유나 교수가 좌장을 맡아 진행하며, △이경숙 장학관(대구교육청) △송성환 교장(제주 표선초, IB PYP 월드스쿨 운영 사례) △강건모 교사(제주중앙여중, 2022 개정 교육과정과 IB) △장밝은 수석교사(대구서부고, IB 수업과 평가)가 패널로 참여한다.

The panel discussion, titled “IB Meets Gangwon Education,” will be chaired by Professor Lim Youna and will feature panelists:

Director Lee Kyung-sook (Daegu Office of Education)

Principal Song Seong-hwan (Pyoseon Elementary, Jeju — IB PYP World School case)

Teacher Kang Geon-mo (Jeju Jungang Girls’ Middle — 2022 Revised Curriculum and IB)

Master Teacher Jang Bal-geun (Daegu Seobu High — IB Teaching and Assessment).

They will share practical experiences and insights into IB education and discuss implementation strategies tailored to Gangwon Province.

"IB Empowers Thinking and Inquiry — A Guide for Designing Gangwon’s Future Curriculum"

이수인 원장은 “IB 교육은 학생이 생각하고 탐구하는 힘을 키우는 교육이며, 이번 공개토론회가 강원교육의 미래 교육과정 설계에 대한 통찰을 제공하길 바란다”라며 “강원교육이 추구하는 미래형 학습 문화 조성을 위해 앞으로도 교육연구원은 다양한 시도와 협력을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Director Lee Soo-in stated, “IB education empowers students to think critically and inquire deeply. We hope this forum provides valuable insight for designing Gangwon’s future curriculum.” He added, “Our Institute will continue to pursue innovative collaborations to help create the future-oriented learning culture that Gangwon education aspires to build.”
