동해시, 가을 관광콘텐츠 잇따라 선보이며 체류관광 이어간다

5일 삼화사 자연음악회·동해예술제를 시작으로 가을 문화행사 본격화

동해시가 여름 성수기에 집중됐던 관광 흐름을 가을까지 이어가기 위해 문화·예술과 축제, 걷기·체험을 연계한 다채로운 가을 관광콘텐츠를 본격적으로 선보인다.

Donghae City is launching a diverse range of autumn tourism programs combining culture, the arts, festivals, trekking, and hands-on experiences. The initiative aims to extend the tourism momentum traditionally concentrated in the peak summer season well into autumn.

시는 9월부터 문화예술 행사와 지역 대표축제, 트레킹 등 다양한 프로그램을 잇달아 운영하고, 산과 바다를 비롯한 지역 관광자원과 연계해 관광객의 선택 폭을 넓히는 동시에 지역 내 체류시간을 늘릴 계획이다.

Beginning in September, the city will roll out a series of cultural and artistic events, signature local festivals, and trekking programs. These will be linked with Donghae’s mountain and coastal attractions to offer visitors more travel options and encourage them to stay longer in the region.

먼저 오는 5일 오후 6시 삼화사 일원에서 ‘동해시민과 함께하는 자연음악회’가 열린다. 정영주, 장사익, 최백호 등이 출연해 가을 산사의 정취와 어우러지는 특별한 공연을 선보인다.

The “Nature Concert with the Citizens of Donghae” will take place at Samhwasa Temple at 6 p.m. on September 5. Renowned performers Jeong Young-joo, Jang Sa-ik, and Choi Baek-ho will present a special concert harmonizing with the serene autumn atmosphere of the mountain temple.

같은 날부터 23일까지 19일간 시 전역에서는 ‘제29회 동해예술제’가 이어진다. 미술협회 정기 회원전을 시작으로 서예·문학·사진·음악·공연 등 분야별 문화예술 행사가 펼쳐지며, 11일 개막공연에는 가수 전영록과 지역 예술인들이 참여한다.

The 29th Donghae Arts Festival will also be held across the city for 19 days, from September 5 to 23. Beginning with the Fine Arts Association’s annual members’ exhibition, the festival will feature cultural and artistic events encompassing calligraphy, literature, photography, music, and performing arts. Singer Jeon Young-rok and local artists will take part in the opening performance on September 11.

가을철 자연과 역사를 함께 즐기는 ‘동해소금길 트레킹’도 9월부터 11월까지 총 8회 운영된다. 지역의 아름다운 자연경관과 역사·문화자원을 직접 걸으며 경험하는 프로그램으로, 축제 관람에 걷기와 체험을 더한 가을 관광콘텐츠다.

The “Donghae Salt Road Trekking” program, offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy both nature and history, will be held eight times from September through November. Participants can walk through the region’s beautiful landscapes while discovering its historical and cultural heritage, adding trekking and hands-on experiences to their festival itinerary.

이어 9월 17일부터 20일까지 동해 웰빙레포츠타운 일원에서는 대표 향토축제인 ‘제39회 동해무릉제’가 열린다.

The 39th Donghae Mureung Festival, the city’s signature traditional festival, will follow from September 17 to 20 at the Donghae Well-being Leports Town and its surrounding area.

시는 이들 문화·축제와 체험 프로그램을 무릉계곡·무릉별유천지의 가을산, 한섬·하평해변의 가을바다 등 지역 관광자원과 연계해 ‘축제와 문화–걷기와 체험–산과 바다’로 이어지는 가을 관광을 집중적으로 홍보할 방침이다.

The city plans to actively promote an integrated autumn travel experience linking cultural events, festivals, and hands-on programs with local attractions. These include the autumn scenery of Mureung Valley and Mureung Byeolyucheonji, as well as the seasonal coastal beauty of Hanseom and Hapyeong beaches. The campaign will highlight a journey connecting “festivals and culture, trekking and experiences, and mountains and the sea.”

#김형기 문화관광국장은 “가을 동해는 문화와 축제뿐 아니라 산과 바다, 걷기까지 다양한 여행을 함께 즐길 수 있는 계절”이라며 “지역 곳곳의 관광콘텐츠를 연결해 더 오래 머물고 다시 찾고 싶은 가을 여행지로 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

“Autumn in Donghae is a season when visitors can enjoy not only culture and festivals, but also mountains, the sea, and scenic walks,” said Kim Hyeong-gi, Director-General of the Culture and Tourism Bureau. “By connecting tourism programs throughout the city, we will establish Donghae as an autumn destination where visitors want to stay longer and return again.”
