동해시가 지역에 주둔하는 군 장병을 대상으로 평생학습 지원을 확대한다.

Donghae City is expanding its lifelong learning support for military personnel stationed in the region.

시는 9월 중 해군 제1함대 신청 장병을 대상으로 ‘AI·디지털배움터’ 교육을 시범 운영한다.

 In September, the city will pilot an “AI and Digital Learning Center” program for participating personnel of the Republic of Korea Navy’s 1st Fleet.

교육은 생성형 AI 활용법과 데이터 이해·분석 등 실습 중심으로 구성된다. 특히 군부대의 특성을 고려해 AI 활용 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 보안 유출과 개인정보 침해, 저작권, 허위정보 등에 대한 AI 윤리·디지털 보안 교육도 병행한다.

 The program will focus on practical training, including the use of generative AI as well as data comprehension and analysis. Given the particular security requirements of military units, the curriculum will also cover AI ethics and digital security issues, such as information leaks, privacy violations, copyright infringement and misinformation that may arise when using AI.

방식은 부대를 직접 찾아가는 방문교육과 평생학습관을 활용한 외부교육 방식으로 진행하며, 시범운영 결과와 교육 수요 등을 토대로 향후 운영 방향을 검토할 계획이다.

 The program will combine on-site instruction delivered directly at the military base with off-site education at the city’s Lifelong Learning Center. Donghae City will review future plans based on the results of the pilot program and participants’ educational needs.

시는 이번 교육을 계기로 군 장병들이 지역의 다양한 평생학습 프로그램에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 넓히고, 군과 지역사회 간 교육·교류의 접점도 확대해 나갈 방침이다. 이는 민선9기가 지향하는 군과 지역사회의 상생·협력 기반을 생활과 교육 분야로 넓혀가는 취지와도 맞닿아 있다.

 Through this initiative, the city plans to provide military personnel with greater access to a wide range of local lifelong learning programs while expanding opportunities for educational exchange between the armed forces and the local community. The initiative also aligns with the ninth popularly elected municipal administration’s goal of extending mutually beneficial military–community cooperation into everyday life and education.

#배진숙 평생학습과장은 “지역에 주둔하는 군 장병들이 복무 중에도 다양한 배움의 기회를 가질 수 있도록 지역의 평생학습 자원을 적극 활용하겠다”며 “군부대와 지속적으로 소통하며 실질적으로 도움이 되는 교육 프로그램을 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

 “We will make active use of the region’s lifelong learning resources so that military personnel stationed here can access diverse learning opportunities while serving,” said Bae Jin-sook, Director of the Lifelong Learning Division. “We will continue communicating with military units and develop practical educational programs that genuinely benefit service members.”
