Discussing Practical Measures for Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula

민주평화통일자문회의 동해시협의회(협의회장 최청숙, 이하 동해시협의회)가 최근 동해시청 대회의실에서 ‘2026년 3분기 정기회의’를 개최하고, 한반도 평화공존 정책을 지역사회에서 실천하기 위한 본격적인 활동에 나섰다.

The Donghae Chapter of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, chaired by Choi Cheong-suk, recently held its Q3 2026 regular meeting in the main conference room of Donghae City Hall, launching concerted efforts to put policies for peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula into practice within the local community.

民主平和統一諮問会議東海市協議会（会長・チェ・チョンスク、以下「東海市協議会」）はこのほど、東海市庁大会議室で「2026年第3四半期定例会議」を開催し、朝鮮半島の平和共存政策を地域社会で実践するための本格的な活動に乗り出した。

‘한반도 평화공존 정책 실천을 위한 성찰과 대안’을 주제로 열린 이번 회의에는 최청숙 협의회장을 비롯한 자문위원들이 참석했다. 회의에서는 신규 자문위원에게 위촉장을 전달하고 하반기 주요 사업계획을 확정했다.

Held under the theme “Reflection and Alternatives for Implementing Policies of Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula,” the meeting was attended by Chair Choi Cheong-suk and other advisory members. Certificates of appointment were presented to newly appointed members, and key project plans for the second half of the year were finalized.

「朝鮮半島の平和共存政策の実践に向けた省察と代案」をテーマに開かれた今回の会議には、チェ・チョンスク会長をはじめとする諮問委員が出席した。会議では、新任諮問委員に委嘱状を伝達するとともに、下半期の主要事業計画を確定した。

특히 참석 위원들은 정부의 평화공존 정책에 대한 시민적 공감대를 높이기 위해 지역사회가 수행해야 할 실질적인 역할에 집중했다. 주요 논의 사항으로는 ▲정부 정책과 연계하기 위한 지역 차원의 우선 과제 ▲시민 참여를 끌어낼 핵심 실행 방안 ▲민주평통 동해시협의회가 중점적으로 추진해야 할 역할 등이 다각도로 다뤄졌다.

In particular, participants focused on the practical role the local community should play in building public understanding and support for the government’s peaceful coexistence policies. Discussions covered a range of topics, including ▲local priorities for coordinating with government policies ▲key action plans to encourage public participation and ▲the principal roles and initiatives to be undertaken by the Donghae Chapter.

特に出席委員らは、政府の平和共存政策に対する市民の共感を高めるため、地域社会が果たすべき実質的な役割に焦点を当てた。主な議題として、▲政府政策と連携するための地域レベルの優先課題 ▲市民参加を促すための重要な実行方策 ▲民主平統東海市協議会が重点的に推進すべき役割などについて、多角的な意見が交わされた。

동해시협의회는 이번 정기회의에서 수렴된 통일 관련 의견과 자문 결과를 바탕으로, 하반기 동안 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 다양한 통일 공감대 확산 사업과 지역 통일역량 강화 프로그램을 순차적으로 추진할 방침이다.

Based on the views on unification and advisory recommendations gathered during the meeting, the Donghae Chapter plans to launch a series of initiatives in the second half of the year. These will include public programs designed to build community-wide understanding of peaceful unification and strengthen the region’s capacity to contribute to the unification process.

東海市協議会は、今回の定例会議で集約された統一に関する意見と諮問結果を基に、下半期を通じて、市民が身近に感じられる多様な統一共感拡大事業と、地域の統一対応力を強化するプログラムを順次推進する方針だ。
