Civilian-Government-Military Partnership Marks the Fleet's 80th Anniversary with Free Healthcare Services for Songjeong Residents

동해시는 해군 제1함대사령부 창설 80주년을 맞아 지역 주민의 건강증진과 민·관·군 보건의료 협력 강화를 위해 「민·관·군 합동 대민진료」를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it will hold a Joint Civilian-Government-Military Medical Outreach Program to promote the health of local residents and strengthen cooperation in public healthcare in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Korea Navy's 1st Fleet Command.

이번 대민진료는 군항이 위치한 송정동 주민들에게 실질적인 의료서비스를 제공하고, 민·관·군이 함께 지역사회 건강을 돌보는 협력체계를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

The outreach program has been organized to provide practical medical services to residents of Songjeong-dong, home to the naval port, while reinforcing a cooperative healthcare network among civilian, government, and military organizations for the benefit of the local community.

진료는 8월 6일 오후 2시부터 4시까지 송정경로당에서 진행되며, 해군 제1함대 의무대와 동해시보건소, 동해동인병원 등 민·관·군 의료진 24명이 참여한다.

The medical outreach will take place on August 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Songjeong Senior Citizens' Center, with 24 healthcare professionals from the Navy's 1st Fleet Medical Unit, Donghae City Public Health Center, and Donghae Dongin Hospital participating together.

현장에서는 초음파 진단기와 심전도계, 인바디 측정기 등 이동형 의료장비를 활용해 기초 건강검진과 건강상담을 실시하며, 다양한 의료서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

At the venue, portable medical equipment—including ultrasound diagnostic devices, electrocardiographs (ECG), and body composition analyzers—will be used to provide basic health screenings, medical consultations, and a range of healthcare services.

특히 고령층이 많은 지역 특성을 고려해 혈압·혈당 측정 등 기초 건강검진은 물론 내과, 치과, 한의과, 재활의학과(물리치료), 운동처방 등 맞춤형 의료서비스를 제공한다.

Reflecting the area's large elderly population, the program will offer personalized healthcare services, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, internal medicine, dental care, Korean traditional medicine, rehabilitation medicine (physical therapy), and exercise prescription.

또한 치매선별검사와 연계한 신경과 상담도 함께 진행해 어르신들의 건강을 종합적으로 관리할 계획이다.

Neurological consultations linked to dementia screening will also be provided, enabling comprehensive health management for senior citizens.

이번 대민진료에는 동해시보건소와 해군 제1함대 의무대, 동해동인병원이 함께 참여해 각 기관이 보유한 의료 인력과 장비를 활용한 협력 진료를 실시하며, 시민들이 가까운 생활권에서 전문적인 의료서비스를 받을 수 있도록 지원한다.

The collaboration between Donghae City Public Health Center, the Navy's 1st Fleet Medical Unit, and Donghae Dongin Hospital combines each institution's medical personnel and equipment to deliver professional healthcare services within residents' own communities.

#홍종란 보건정책과장은 "이번 민·관·군 합동 대민진료는 지역사회가 함께 주민 건강을 돌보는 의미 있는 협력 사례가 될 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.

Hong Jong-ran, Director of the Health Policy Division, said, "We expect this joint civilian-government-military medical outreach to become a meaningful example of how the entire community can work together to care for the health of local residents."

해군 제1함대 관계자는 "창설 80주년을 맞아 지역사회와 함께할 수 있는 뜻깊은 의료봉사를 마련하게 됐다"며 "앞으로도 지역 주민의 건강과 안전을 위한 다양한 대민지원 활동을 지속해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

An official from the Navy's 1st Fleet stated, "To commemorate our 80th anniversary, we are honored to provide this meaningful medical outreach in partnership with the local community. We will continue to expand various public support activities to promote the health and safety of local residents."
