동해시, 농가로 찾아가는 토양 건강진단 서비스 첫 운영

동해시가 8월부터 11월까지 '찾아가는 토양 건강진단 서비스'를 새롭게 운영하고 참여 농가를 모집한다. 이번 사업은 담당자가 직접 농가를 방문해 토양 시료를 채취하고 분석한 뒤 맞춤형 비료 처방까지 제공하는 현장 중심의 원스톱 서비스다.

Donghae City has launched its first "On-site Soil Health Diagnosis Service" from August through November and is now accepting applications from local farmers. Under this field-oriented one-stop service, specialists visit farms to collect soil samples, analyze soil conditions, and provide customized fertilizer recommendations.

이번 사업은 농촌 고령화와 농업인 감소, 이동 여건 등으로 토양검정 서비스를 이용하기 어려운 농업인의 불편을 해소하기 위해 올해 처음 추진됐다.

The program was introduced this year to address the difficulties many farmers face in accessing soil testing services due to rural aging, a declining farming population, and transportation limitations.

담당자가 농지를 직접 방문해 토양 시료를 채취하고, 토양 분석부터 맞춤형 비료사용 처방까지 원스톱으로 지원함으로써 농업인의 이동 부담을 줄이고 보다 편리한 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.

Agricultural specialists will visit individual farms to collect soil samples and provide comprehensive support—from laboratory analysis to personalized fertilizer prescriptions—reducing the need for farmers to travel while improving access to scientific farming services.

지원 대상은 동해시 농업인이며, 고령농과 여성농업인, 이동이 어려운 농가, 토양검정을 처음 이용하는 농가를 우선 지원한다.

The service is available to all farmers in Donghae City, with priority given to senior farmers, women farmers, those with limited mobility, and first-time users of the soil testing program.

신청을 희망하는 농가는 동해시 농업기술센터 과학영농시설(☎ 033-539-8132, 8136)로 전화 신청하면 된다. 신청이 접수되면 담당자가 농지를 방문해 토양 시료를 채취하고 산도(pH), 전기전도도(EC), 유기물, 유효인산 등 주요 토양 성분을 분석한 뒤 작물에 적합한 맞춤형 비료사용 처방서와 적정 시비 방법을 안내한다.

Farmers wishing to participate can apply by phone through the Scientific Farming Facility of the Donghae City Agricultural Technology Center (Tel. +82-33-539-8132 / 8136). After registration, specialists will visit the farm to collect soil samples and analyze key indicators including soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter, and available phosphorus. Based on the results, farmers will receive customized fertilizer recommendations and guidance on proper fertilizer application for their crops.

#김정남 농업기술센터소장은 "토양검정은 건강한 토양을 만들고 작물 생산성을 높이는 가장 기본적인 과정"이라며 "농업인이 보다 편리하게 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 과학영농 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
