동해시시설관리공단, 한국가스안전공사와 캠핑장 가스안전 강화 맞손

Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation Joins Hands with Korea Gas Safety Corporation to Strengthen Camping Site Gas Safety

동해시시설관리공단(이사장 이용빈)은 7월 30일 망상오토캠핑리조트 동해당에서 한국가스안전공사 강원영동지사와 ‘행락철 캠핑장 가스안전 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다.

Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation (Chairman Lee Yong-bin) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Camping Site Gas Safety during the Holiday Season with the Gangwon Yeongdong Branch of the Korea Gas Safety Corporation on July 30 at Donghaedang Hall in Mangsang Auto Camping Resort.

이번 협약은 캠핑과 차박 등 야외 여가활동이 증가하는 가운데 부탄캔 취급 부주의와 밀폐공간 내 일산화탄소(CO) 중독 등 가스안전사고를 선제적으로 예방하고, 유관기관 간 긴밀한 협력을 통해 캠핑장의 안전관리 체계를 더욱 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

The agreement was designed to proactively prevent gas-related accidents, including improper handling of butane gas canisters and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning in enclosed spaces, as outdoor leisure activities such as camping and car camping continue to grow. It also aims to strengthen camping site safety management through close cooperation between the two organizations.

양 기관은 협약을 통해 ▲캠핑장 이용객 대상 가스안전 홍보 캠페인 ▲가스안전 홍보물 제작 및 배포, 캠핑장 내 게시 ▲홈페이지와 SNS 등 다양한 홍보매체를 활용한 안전문화 확산 등에 협력하기로 했다. 협약기간은 2028년 7월까지 2년이다.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on: ▲gas safety awareness campaigns for campers ▲the production, distribution, and on-site display of gas safety promotional materials ▲the promotion of gas safety culture through websites, social media, and other communication channels. The agreement will remain in effect for two years through July 2028.

협약식 당일에는 첫 공동활동으로 망상오토캠핑장에서 이용객을 대상으로 합동 가스안전 홍보 캠페인을 실시했다. 앞으로 공단이 운영하는 4개 캠핑장을 중심으로 여름 행락철(8~9월)과 가을철(10~11월)에 지속적인 가스안전 홍보활동을 추진할 계획이다.

Following the signing ceremony, the two organizations launched their first joint gas safety awareness campaign for visitors at Mangsang Auto Camping Resort. Similar campaigns will continue at the four campgrounds operated by the Corporation during the summer holiday season (August–September) and autumn camping season (October–November).

#이용빈 동해시시설관리공단 이사장은 “이번 협약을 계기로 한국가스안전공사와 긴밀히 협력해 가스안전사고를 선제적으로 예방하고, 캠핑장 안전문화가 정착될 수 있도록 다양한 활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

Lee Yong-bin, Chairman of Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation, said, “Through this partnership, we will continue working closely with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation to proactively prevent gas-related accidents and promote a strong culture of safety at camping sites through a wide range of initiatives.”
