동해시, 상거래용 계량기 정기검사 실시

동해시는 공정한 상거래 질서를 확립하고 계량의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 오는 8월 10일부터 19일까지 상거래용 계량기(저울) 정기검사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it will conduct a periodic inspection of commercial weighing instruments from August 10 to August 19 to ensure fair trade practices and maintain the accuracy and reliability of commercial measurements.

계량기 정기검사는 「계량에 관한 법률」에 따라 2년마다 실시하는 법정검사로, 상거래에 사용되는 계량기의 정확도를 확인해 소비자를 보호하고 공정한 거래질서를 확립하기 위해 추진된다.

The inspection is a mandatory legal requirement conducted every two years under the Measures Act. Its purpose is to verify the accuracy of weighing instruments used in commercial transactions, thereby protecting consumers and promoting fair and transparent trade.

검사 대상은 10톤 미만의 비자동 저울로, 판수동 저울과 접시지시·판지시 저울, 전기식 지시 저울 등 상거래에 사용되는 모든 계량기가 해당된다.

The inspection covers all non-automatic commercial scales with a maximum capacity of less than 10 tons, including platform scales, dial and indicator scales, as well as electronic weighing instruments used in commercial transactions.

다만, 지난해 또는 올해 검정을 받은 저울과 판매를 위해 진열 중인 저울, 국가교정기관에서 사용오차 이내임이 확인된 저울, 자체 정기검사 사업자가 검사한 저울, 형식승인을 받지 않은 체중계·가정용·교육용·참조용 저울 등은 검사 대상에서 제외된다.

However, the following are exempt from inspection: scales that were officially verified this year or last year, scales displayed for sale, scales certified by a national calibration agency as being within the allowable error range, scales inspected by authorized self-inspection businesses, and weighing devices such as personal, household, educational, or reference-use scales that are not approved for commercial use.

검사 일정은 ▲8월 10일 천곡동 ▲11일 송정동(오전)·북평동(오후) ▲12일 삼화동(오전)·북삼동(오후) ▲13일 부곡동(오전)·동호동(오후) ▲14일 망상동(오전)·묵호동(오후) ▲18일 발한동 행정복지센터 광장에서 순차적으로 진행된다.

The inspection schedule is as follows:

August 10: Cheongok-dong

August 11: Songjeong-dong (Morning), Bukpyeong-dong (Afternoon)

August 12: Samhwa-dong (Morning), Buksam-dong (Afternoon)

August 13: Bugok-dong (Morning), Dongho-dong (Afternoon)

August 14: Mangsang-dong (Morning), Mukho-dong (Afternoon)

August 18: Balhan-dong Administrative Welfare Center Plaza

부착식 저울 등 이동이 어렵거나 동일 장소에 여러 대의 저울이 설치되어 있는 경우에는 사전 신청을 통해 8월 19일 현장검사를 받을 수 있다.

For permanently installed scales or multiple weighing instruments located at the same site that are difficult to transport, an on-site inspection will be available on August 19 upon prior application.

합격판정을 받은 계량기에는 인증 스티커가 부착되며, 불합격 판정을 받은 계량기는 재검사를 통해 합격한 후에만 계속 사용할 수 있다.

Scales that pass the inspection will receive an official certification sticker. Those that fail must undergo reinspection and obtain approval before they can continue to be used for commercial purposes.

#이재국 경제과장은 “계량기 정기검사는 공정한 상거래 질서를 확립하고 소비자를 보호하기 위한 법정검사”라며 “검사 대상 계량기를 사용하는 업소에서는 기한 내 반드시 검사를 받아 과태료 등 불이익을 받지 않도록 적극 협조해 주시기 바란다”고 말했다.

Lee Jae-guk, Director of the Economic Affairs Division, stated, "The periodic inspection of commercial weighing instruments is a legally required measure to protect consumers and ensure fair trade. We ask all businesses using eligible weighing instruments to complete the inspection within the designated period to avoid penalties, including administrative fines."
