바다 품은 캠핑, 망상에서 시작된다

동해시는 노후 캐라반 시설을 철거하고 새롭게 조성한 망상제2오토캠핑장 자동차 전용캠핑장을 오는 7월 29일부터 본격 개장한다.

The City of Donghae will officially open the newly redeveloped Mangsang No.2 Auto Campground, a campground dedicated to automobile camping, on July 29, following the removal of aging caravan facilities and a complete site renovation.

망상제2오토캠핑장은 동해대로 6270-14 일원 29,256㎡ 부지에 자동차 전용 캠핑사이트 40면 규모로 조성됐다. 캠핑객들의 편의를 위해 샤워장과 개수대 등 편의시설을 새롭게 설치해 보다 쾌적한 캠핑 환경을 갖췄다.

Located at 6270-14 Donghae-daero, the campground covers 29,256 square meters and features 40 automobile camping sites. New amenities, including shower rooms and washing facilities, have been installed to provide campers with a safer and more comfortable outdoor experience.

개장 초기에는 이용객 안전과 시설 운영의 안정성을 위해 우선 20면을 시범 운영한다. 예약은 동해시 관광지 통합예약시스템에서 ‘망상2오토캠핑장’을 선택해 신청할 수 있으며, 개인 캐라반 이용객은 차량 및 캐라반 규격 등에 대한 사전 확인이 필요하다.

During the initial opening period, 20 camping sites will be operated on a trial basis to ensure visitor safety and stable facility management. Reservations can be made through the Donghae City Integrated Tourism Reservation System by selecting "Mangsang No.2 Auto Campground." Visitors bringing private caravans should confirm that their vehicles and caravans meet the required size specifications before booking.

이용료는 성수기 4만 5천 원, 비수기 주말 2만 7천 원, 평일 2만 2천 원으로 가족 단위 이용객과 캠핑객들이 부담 없이 이용할 수 있도록 책정했다.

Camping fees are set at KRW 45,000 during peak season, KRW 27,000 on weekends during the off-season, and KRW 22,000 on weekdays, making the campground an affordable destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

특히 망상해변과 인접한 입지 덕분에 캠핑과 해변 휴양을 동시에 즐길 수 있는 것이 망상제2오토캠핑장의 가장 큰 장점이다. 여름철에는 바다를 가까이에서 즐길 수 있는 해변 캠핑 명소로 캠핑객들의 많은 관심을 받을 것으로 기대된다.

One of the campground's greatest attractions is its prime location adjacent to Mangsang Beach, allowing visitors to enjoy both seaside camping and beach recreation in one place. This summer, it is expected to become one of the East Coast's most popular beachfront camping destinations.

시설관리공단 관계자는 "새롭게 조성한 망상제2오토캠핑장이 캠핑객들에게 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 휴식공간이 되길 바란다"며 "앞으로도 다양한 관광 인프라 확충을 통해 체류형 관광 활성화와 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣을 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.

An official from the Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation said, "We hope the newly developed Mangsang No.2 Auto Campground will provide campers with a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment. We will continue expanding tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stays and help revitalize the local economy."
