동해시 청년의 목소리 담아낸다… ‘제2기 동해시 청년협의체’ 29일 출범

제1기 성과 이어받아 7월 29일 위촉식 개최… 청년정책 구심점 역할 기대

Building on the achievements of the first council, the second council will officially launch with an appointment ceremony on July 29, aiming to become a central platform for youth policy.

취업·복지 네트워크 강화 및 청년공간 ‘열림’과 협업 등 맞춤형 정책 발굴 본격화

The new council will strengthen employment and welfare networks while collaborating with the Youth Space "Yeollim" to develop practical, youth-centered policies.

동해시는 지역 청년들의 삶의 질 향상과 주도적인 정책 참여를 이끌어갈 제2기 동해시 청년협의체를 구성하고, 오는 7월 29일 위촉식을 시작으로 본격적인 활동에 나선다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced the formation of the Second Donghae Youth Council, a new consultative body designed to improve the quality of life for local young people and encourage their active participation in policymaking. The council will officially begin its activities with an appointment ceremony on July 29.

청년협의체는 지역 청년들이 직접 청년 문제를 발굴하고 정책을 제안하는 민관 협력 거버넌스 기구로, 청년들의 다양한 목소리를 시정에 반영하고 실효성 있는 청년정책을 마련하는 역할을 수행한다.

The Youth Council serves as a public-private governance platform where local young people identify issues affecting their generation and propose policy solutions. Its mission is to ensure that diverse youth voices are reflected in city administration while helping create effective and practical youth policies.

제1기 청년협의체는 지난해 지역 기업과의 연계를 통한 청년 일자리 지원 방안을 모색하고, 청년 지원사업과 혜택을 적극 발굴·홍보하는 한편, 유관기관과 협력해 청년 복지와 정주 여건 개선을 위한 다양한 의견을 제시하는 등 지역 청년정책 활성화에 기여했다.

During the past year, the First Youth Council contributed significantly to the development of local youth policies. It explored employment opportunities in cooperation with regional businesses, promoted youth support programs and benefits, and worked closely with related organizations to suggest improvements in youth welfare and living conditions.

특히 지난해 9월에는 청년 거점 공간인 ‘청년공간 열림’과 협력해 ‘청년의 날’ 행사를 성공적으로 운영하며 청년 간 소통과 교류의 장을 마련하는 등 지역 청년문화 확산에도 힘을 보탰다.

In particular, the council successfully organized the Youth Day celebration last September in partnership with the city's youth hub, "Youth Space Yeollim." The event created meaningful opportunities for young people to connect, communicate, and strengthen Donghae's youth culture.

새롭게 출범하는 제2기 청년협의체는 1기의 활동 성과를 바탕으로 지역 청년들의 다양한 의견을 수렴하고 신규 정책과 사업을 발굴하는 한편, 유관기관과의 협력체계를 강화해 청년들의 정주 여건 개선과 권익 증진을 위한 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.

Building upon the achievements of its predecessor, the Second Youth Council will continue gathering diverse opinions from local youth, identifying new policy initiatives and projects, and strengthening partnerships with related organizations to improve living conditions and protect the rights and interests of young residents.

#마승빈 청년공간 열림 센터장은 “제1기 청년협의체의 활발한 활동은 동해시 청년정책의 소중한 밑거름이 됐다”며 “제2기 청년협의체도 청년과 지역사회를 잇는 가교 역할을 하며 다양한 정책 제안과 활동을 펼칠 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Ma Seung-bin, Director of Youth Space Yeollim, said, “The active efforts of the First Youth Council laid a valuable foundation for Donghae City's youth policies. We will continue to provide strong support so that the Second Youth Council can serve as a bridge between young people and the local community while proposing meaningful policies and leading diverse initiatives.”
