동해시, 청소년 해양체험으로 지역의 자연을 배우다

동해시는 교육발전특구사업의 일환으로 오는 7월 25일부터 8월 22일까지 청소년 대상 「함께하는 여행, 지역문화답사기-동해바다 해양체험」 프로그램을 운영한다. 참가자들은 한섬, 몽돌해변, 고불개해변의 독특한 지형과 지질학적 특징을 탐방하고, 제트보트와 투명카약 체험을 통해 동해바다의 아름다운 자연경관과 해양생태를 직접 경험하며 지역에 대한 이해와 자긍심을 키우게 된다. 또한 장애·비장애 청소년 가족이 함께 참여해 자연 속에서 소통과 교류의 기회도 마련된다.

As part of Donghae City's Education Development Special Zone initiative, the city will operate the "Journey Together: Exploring Local Culture – Donghae Marine Experience" program from July 25 to August 22. Participants will explore the unique geological landscapes of Hanseom, Mongdol Beach, and Gobulgae Beach while experiencing Donghae's spectacular coastline and marine ecosystem through jet boats and transparent kayaks. The program aims to deepen young people's understanding of their hometown and foster local pride, while providing opportunities for families of both disabled and non-disabled youth to enjoy nature together and build meaningful connections.

동해시는 북삼동 일원에서 경찰과 교육지원청, 학교밖청소년지원센터 등 관계기관과 함께 야간 아웃리치 활동을 실시했다. 이번 활동은 위기청소년을 조기에 발견하고 상담 및 보호서비스를 신속히 연계하기 위해 마련됐으며, 청소년상담복지센터와 학교밖청소년지원센터, 청소년전화 1388 등 다양한 지원체계를 적극 홍보했다. 시는 앞으로도 지역사회와 협력해 도움이 필요한 청소년들이 언제든 안전하게 지원받을 수 있는 청소년 안전망을 더욱 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

Donghae City conducted a nighttime outreach campaign in the Buksam-dong area in cooperation with the police, the local Office of Education, the School-Outside-Youth Support Center, and other partner organizations. The initiative focused on identifying at-risk youth at an early stage and connecting them promptly with counseling and protection services. Information about the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, the School-Outside-Youth Support Center, and the national Youth Helpline 1388 was widely promoted. The city plans to continue strengthening its community-based youth safety network so that every young person in need can receive timely support in a safe environment.
