동해시, 중국 타이저우시와 청소년 국제교류 추진

동해시는 교류도시인 중국 저장성 타이저우시와의 미래 우호협력 기반을 강화하고 글로벌 인재를 육성하기 위해 학생대표단 국제교류사업을 추진한다.

Donghae City is launching a student delegation exchange program with Taizhou City in Zhejiang Province, China, to strengthen long-term friendship between the two cities and foster globally minded young leaders.

시는 지난 6월 관내 고등학교 1~2학년 학생을 대상으로 공개모집을 실시해 최종 14명의 학생대표단을 선발했다. 이들은 양 도시를 대표하는 청소년 민간외교관으로 활동하며 다양한 교류 프로그램을 통해 국제적 감각과 문화적 이해를 넓히게 된다.

In June, Donghae City selected 14 high school students through an open recruitment process. As youth ambassadors representing both cities, they will participate in various exchange activities designed to broaden their global perspectives and deepen cultural understanding.

동해시 학생대표단은 오는 7월 29일부터 8월 1일까지 타이저우시를 방문한다. 현지 고등학생들과의 교류 프로그램을 비롯해 전통 수공예 체험, 대표 관광지 탐방, 타이저우 도시브레인 운영센터 견학 등을 통해 지역의 문화와 첨단 산업을 직접 체험할 예정이다.

From July 29 to August 1, the Donghae student delegation will visit Taizhou. Their itinerary includes cultural exchange programs with local high school students, traditional handicraft experiences, visits to major tourist attractions, and a tour of the Taizhou City Brain Operations Center, where they will explore the city's advanced smart-city technologies and local industries.

이어 8월 3일부터 6일까지는 타이저우시 학생대표단이 동해시를 방문한다. 북삼청소년센터와 동해시청소년센터를 둘러보고, 한과 만들기·국궁·자개공예 등 한국 전통문화 체험과 묵호·삼화권역 관광지 탐방을 통해 동해시의 청소년 정책과 지역 문화를 경험하게 된다.

From August 3 to 6, a student delegation from Taizhou will visit Donghae. They will tour Buksam Youth Center and Donghae Youth Center, experience traditional Korean culture through activities such as making Hangwa (traditional Korean sweets), Korean archery, and mother-of-pearl crafts, and visit major attractions in the Mukho and Samhwa areas to learn about Donghae's youth programs and local heritage.

#김순기 행정과장은 "이번 교류를 통해 양 도시 청소년들이 서로의 문화를 이해하고 글로벌 역량을 키우는 소중한 계기가 되길 바란다"며 "앞으로도 지속적인 교류를 통해 미래세대 간 우정을 쌓고 양 도시의 우호협력을 더욱 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Kim Soon-gi, Director of the Administration Division, said, "We hope this exchange will provide young people from both cities with valuable opportunities to understand each other's cultures and develop global competencies. Through continued exchanges, we aim to strengthen friendships between future generations and further expand the partnership between Donghae and Taizhou."
