발한동 새마을협의회·부녀회, 어르신 400가구에 삼계탕 나눔

동해시 새마을지도자 발한동협의회(회장 김성태)와 발한동 부녀회(회장 이영분)는 지난 18일 지역 어르신 400여 가구를 찾아 직접 준비한 삼계탕과 떡, 과일 등을 전달하며 건강한 여름나기를 응원했다.

On July 18, the Balhan-dong Saemaeul Leaders Association (Chairman Kim Seong-tae) and the Balhan-dong Women's Association (Chairwoman Lee Young-bun) visited approximately 400 senior households, delivering homemade Samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup) along with rice cakes and fresh fruit to help them stay healthy during the summer.

이번 나눔은 청소년 자원봉사자들과 함께 진행되어 세대 간 따뜻한 정을 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이 되었다. 또한 지역 후원자들의 따뜻한 마음이 더해져 당초 준비했던 닭곰탕 대신 더욱 영양가 높은 삼계탕을 마련해 어르신들에게 전달했다.

The volunteer activity was carried out together with local youth volunteers, creating a meaningful opportunity for intergenerational connection and community spirit. Thanks to generous support from local donors, the planned chicken soup was upgraded to the more nutritious Samgyetang, providing seniors with a wholesome meal during the hottest season of the year.

Chairwoman Lee Young-bun said, "I sincerely thank everyone who joined us in this act of sharing. I hope this small gesture helps our seniors enjoy a healthy and comfortable summer."

이번 나눔은 무더운 여름철 어르신들의 건강을 살피는 것은 물론, 주민과 청소년, 지역단체가 함께 만들어가는 따뜻한 공동체의 가치를 다시 한번 보여준 뜻깊은 행사였다.

More than simply providing meals, this event demonstrated the strength of a caring community where residents, youth volunteers, and local organizations work together to support one another. It served as a heartwarming reminder that compassion and solidarity remain at the heart of the community.
