동해시, ‘길 위의 인문학·지혜학교’ 공모 선정… 국비 2천만 원 확보

동해시가 문화체육관광부가 주최하는 「2026 길 위의 인문학·지혜학교」 공모사업 시행기관으로 최종 선정되며 국비 2천만 원을 전액 확보했습니다.

Donghae City has been officially selected as an implementing organization for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 2026 “Humanities on the Road & Wisdom School” program, securing KRW 20 million in full government funding.

이번 사업은 지역의 인문자원을 활용한 강연과 토론, 체험 프로그램을 통해 시민들이 자신의 삶과 지역을 새로운 시각으로 바라보고, 인문학적 사고와 문화적 감수성을 키울 수 있도록 마련되었습니다.

The project aims to help citizens rediscover their community and everyday lives through lectures, discussions, and hands-on experiences based on local humanities resources, fostering critical thinking and cultural awareness.

Humanities on the Road

8월 24일부터 10월 26일까지 총 10회 운영되는 **「이토록 우아한 머무름」**은 동해의 풍경과 일상을 소리, 사진, 글로 기록하는 참여형 인문학 프로그램입니다. 강의와 토론뿐 아니라 지역 탐방도 함께 진행됩니다.

Running from August 24 to October 26, the ten-session program “Such an Elegant Stay” invites participants to document Donghae’s landscapes and daily life through sound, photography, and writing. The course combines lectures, discussions, and local field explorations.

지혜학교

Wisdom School

9월 5일부터 11월 15일까지 운영되는 「영화음악, 인간을 사유하다」는 영화와 음악, 철학을 통해 인간과 시대를 이해하는 심화 인문학 과정입니다. 강의와 토론, 다양한 심화 활동이 함께 진행됩니다.

From September 5 to November 15, “Film Music: Reflecting on Humanity” explores people, society, and philosophy through cinema and music. Participants will engage in lectures, discussions, and in-depth humanities activities.

Participant Registration

수강생 모집은 8월 3일부터 10일까지 동해시립도서관 홈페이지에서 선착순으로 진행됩니다. 프로그램별 성인 20명씩 총 40명을 모집하며, 수강료는 전액 무료입니다.

Registration will be open from August 3 to August 10 through the Donghae City Library website on a first-come, first-served basis. Each program accepts 20 adults, with a total of 40 participants. All courses are free of charge.

She added that Buksam Library will continue expanding high-quality humanities programs to become a leading cultural hub for the region.
