묵호동 사회단체, 여름철 맞아 나눔과 환경정화 활동 '훈훈'

동해시 묵호동에서는 여름철을 맞아 지역사회를 위한 따뜻한 나눔과 관광환경을 가꾸는 환경정화 활동이 이어지며, 주민과 함께 만드는 건강한 공동체 문화가 더욱 빛을 발하고 있다.

In Mukho-dong, Donghae City, local organizations are carrying out acts of kindness and environmental cleanup this summer, strengthening a healthy community spirit while creating a cleaner and more welcoming destination for residents and visitors alike.

② 삼계탕 나눔 | Samgyetang Sharing for Seniors

묵호동바르게살기협의회(회장 김정희)는 지난 9일 홀몸 어르신과 식생활에 어려움을 겪는 저소득 취약계층을 위해 정성껏 준비한 삼계탕 20인분을 전달했다. 협의회는 매년 여름 삼계탕과 밑반찬을 직접 만들어 전달하며 안부를 살피는 등 꾸준한 이웃사랑을 실천하고 있다.

On July 9, the Mukho-dong Association for the Promotion of Proper Living, led by Chairperson Kim Jeong-hee, delivered 20 servings of homemade samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup) to seniors living alone and low-income residents facing difficulties with daily meals. Every summer, the association prepares nutritious meals and side dishes by hand while checking on the well-being of vulnerable neighbors.

③ 줍깅 행사 | Community Plogging Event

이어 10일에는 묵호동 통장협의회가 주관한 '깨끗한 묵호 만들기 줍깅 행사'가 열렸다. 동 직원과 통장협의회 회원 등 30여 명은 대진해수욕장과 대진항 일원에서 쓰레기를 수거하며 관광객과 주민 모두가 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있는 해안 환경을 만드는 데 힘을 모았다.

The following day, July 10, the Mukho-dong Heads of Neighborhood Association organized the "Clean Mukho Plogging Campaign." About 30 participants, including local government staff and community leaders, collected litter around Daejin Beach and Daejin Port, helping create a cleaner coastal environment for both visitors and local residents.

④ 지속 가능한 주민 참여 | Continuing Community Participation

묵호동은 2022년부터 주민과 함께하는 줍깅 활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있으며, 올해 하반기부터는 통장협의회가 참여해 월 2회 정기적으로 운영할 예정이다. 또한 코레일 강원본부 통계에 따르면 묵호역 이용객이 꾸준히 증가하고 있어, 여름철 관광객을 맞이하기 위한 환경정화 활동도 더욱 확대할 계획이다.

Since 2022, Mukho-dong has continued its community-based plogging activities. Beginning in the second half of this year, the neighborhood leaders' association will join the effort, making it a twice-monthly volunteer program. With passenger numbers at Mukho Station steadily increasing, according to Korail Gangwon Headquarters, the district also plans to expand its cleanup activities to welcome more summer visitors.
