동해시, 민선 9기 시정운영 본격화 '새로운 동해시, 시민과 함께 여는 미래' 실행체계 가동

동해시가 민선 9기 시정구호인 '새로운 동해시, 시민과 함께 여는 미래'를 중심으로 새로운 시정 운영체계를 본격적으로 가동한다.

Donghae City has officially begun operating its new administrative framework under the slogan, "A New Donghae, Opening the Future Together with Citizens," marking the full launch of its 9th municipal administration.

이정학 시장은 7일 하반기 주요업무계획 보고에 앞서 "민선9기의 방향은 시민이 체감하는 변화를 만드는 것"이라며, 기존의 업무보고 방식을 부서별 심층 토론 중심으로 전환하고 핵심 현안과 실행과제를 집중 논의하겠다고 밝혔다.

Ahead of the second-half policy briefing on July 7, Mayor Lee Jeong-hak emphasized that "the goal of the 9th administration is to create changes citizens can truly experience." Rather than traditional reporting, each department will participate in in-depth discussions focused on practical solutions and key policy challenges.

민선9기는 글로벌 해양도시, 예산 1조 원 시대, 응급의료 30분 책임도시를 3대 미션으로 설정했다.

The new administration has established three major missions:

• Becoming a Global Maritime City

• Entering the One-Trillion-Won Municipal Budget Era

• Building a 30-Minute Emergency Medical Response City

이를 실현하기 위해 ▲성장하는 해양경제 ▲신뢰받는 책임행정 ▲도약하는 미래산업 ▲매력적인 관광문화 ▲함께하는 교육복지 ▲생명보호 안심도시 등 6대 비전을 중심으로 시정을 추진한다.

To achieve these goals, Donghae City will pursue six strategic visions:

시는 AI와 데이터 기반 미래산업을 육성하고 대규모 투자유치를 확대하는 한편, 해양산업 생태계 조성과 국비 확보를 통해 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 마련할 계획이다.

The city plans to foster AI- and data-driven industries, attract large-scale investments, strengthen the maritime industrial ecosystem, and secure greater national funding to establish long-term engines for sustainable growth.

또한 시민과 현장에서 답을 찾는 소통행정을 강화하고, 형식적인 업무와 낡은 관행은 과감히 개선해 시민 중심의 책임행정을 실현해 나갈 방침이다.

The administration will reinforce communication with citizens and solve issues directly in the field, while replacing outdated practices with practical, citizen-centered governance focused on accountability and results.

응급의료 30분 책임도시 실현을 위해 지역 의료기관과 유관기관 간 협력을 확대하고, 인근 지방자치단체와 연계한 의료안전망 구축도 함께 추진한다.

To realize the vision of a 30-Minute Emergency Medical Response City, Donghae will strengthen cooperation with local medical institutions and related organizations while building regional emergency healthcare networks in partnership with neighboring municipalities.

Mayor Lee concluded,
