동해시 ‘송정 솔밭마을’, 2026 도시 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업 선정

Donghae City's Songjeong Solbat Village Selected for the 2026 Urban Neighborhood Revitalization Program

대한민국 동해시 송정동 솔밭마을이 대통령직속 지방시대위원회가 주관하는 「2026 도시 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업」 공모에 최종 선정됐다. 이번 선정은 주민 삶의 질을 높이고 지역 균형발전을 촉진하는 중요한 전환점이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Songjeong Solbat Village in Donghae City has been officially selected for the Presidential Committee for Decentralization and Balanced Development's 2026 Urban Neighborhood Revitalization Program. The project is expected to become a significant milestone in improving residents' quality of life while promoting balanced regional development.

송정동 솔밭마을 일원 122,517㎡를 대상으로 2027년부터 2031년까지 약 30억 원이 투입된다. 사업은 노후주택 50가구 집수리, 슬레이트 지붕 33동 개량을 비롯해 주민 생활과 직결되는 다양한 생활환경 개선사업을 추진하게 된다.

Covering an area of approximately 122,517 square meters, the five-year project (2027–2031) will invest around KRW 3 billion. Major initiatives include renovating 50 aging homes, replacing 33 deteriorated slate roofs, and upgrading neighborhood infrastructure to create a safer and more comfortable living environment.

동해시는 지역 균형발전을 위해 2025년부터 송정동 솔밭마을을 대상으로 공모를 체계적으로 준비해 왔다. 올해 4월 서면평가와 5월 현장평가를 모두 통과하며 전국적인 경쟁을 이겨내고 2년 연속 사업 선정이라는 성과를 거뒀다.

Since 2025, Donghae City has systematically prepared the proposal as part of its balanced regional development strategy. Following successful document and on-site evaluations, the city secured the project through nationwide competition, achieving selection for the second consecutive year.

#전미애 도시정비과장은 "이번 선정은 지역 국회의원과 주민, 언론이 함께 힘을 모은 결과"라며 "주민들이 변화를 직접 체감할 수 있도록 사업을 차질 없이 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Jeon Mi-ae, Director of the Urban Regeneration Division, stated that the achievement was made possible through the collective efforts of the local National Assembly member, residents, and local media. She added that the city will work diligently so residents can experience tangible improvements in their daily lives.

동해시는 2015년 묵호 동문산지구를 시작으로 2025년 등대마을지구까지 모두 6차례 도시 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업에 선정됐다. 이를 통해 약 250억 원의 사업비를 확보하며 지속적인 주거환경 개선과 도시재생을 추진해 오고 있다.

Since the Dongmunsan District project in Mukho began in 2015, Donghae City has been selected six times for the national neighborhood improvement initiative, including the Lighthouse Village project in 2025. The city has secured approximately KRW 25 billion in funding, steadily advancing housing improvements and sustainable urban regeneration.
