박상수 삼척시장, 민선 9기 제10대 시장 취임… "다시 삼척의 시대 열겠다"

박상수 삼척시장이 7월 1일 시청 대회의실에서 민선 9기 제10대 삼척시장 취임식을 갖고 본격적인 시정 운영에 들어갔다.

On July 1, Mayor Park Sang-soo officially began his duties as the 10th Mayor of Samcheok during the inauguration ceremony for the ninth popularly elected local government, held at Samcheok City Hall.

박 시장은 취임에 앞서 충혼탑을 참배하며 순국선열과 호국영령의 숭고한 희생정신을 기렸으며, 취임식 이후에는 삼척시노인복지관에서 어르신 급식봉사에 참여하는 등 시민과 함께하는 첫 일정을 소화했다.

 Before the inauguration, Mayor Park paid tribute at the Memorial Tower, honoring the noble sacrifice of Korea's fallen patriots and veterans. Following the ceremony, he volunteered at the Samcheok Senior Welfare Center, serving meals to elderly residents as his first official activity, underscoring his commitment to citizen-centered leadership.

취임 이튿날인 7월 2일에는 임원항과 장호항, 삼척항, 번개시장을 방문해 어민과 상인 등 지역 주민들의 목소리를 청취하며 민생 현장을 살필 예정이다. 이어 삼척종합사회복지관과 삼척시장애인종합복지센터를 방문해 시설 운영 현황을 점검하고 관계자들을 격려하는 등 현장 중심의 소통 행보를 이어갈 계획이다.

 On July 2, the day after his inauguration, Mayor Park is scheduled to visit Imwon Port, Jangho Port, Samcheok Port, and Beongae Market to meet fishermen, merchants, and local residents, listening directly to their concerns and assessing local economic conditions. He will also visit the Samcheok Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and the Samcheok Welfare Center for Persons with Disabilities to review operations, encourage staff, and continue his field-oriented approach to communication.
