강원도립대, 강릉단오제서 ‘우정의 길’ 함께 걷는다

Gangwon State University Walks the “Path of Friendship” at the Gangneung Danoje Festival
- 2년 연속 신통대길 길놀이 참여, 국경을 넘어 하나 되는 청춘들 -

1.강원도립대학교(총장 최종균)는 6월 17일, 유네스코 인류무형문화유산인 강릉단오제의 대표 행사인 「신통대길 길놀이」에 재학생과 한국어학당 어학연수생이 함께 참가하여 지역 전통문화를 체험하고 대학 간 교류를 넓히는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

Gangwon State University, led by President Choi Jong-gyun, took part in the renowned “Sinthongdaegil Parade,” one of the signature events of the UNESCO-recognized Gangneung Danoje Festival, on June 17. Alongside Korean students, international learners from the university’s Korean Language Institute joined the celebration, creating a meaningful occasion to experience local traditions while fostering connections among universities and cultures.

2.이날 강원도립대학교 학생 30여 명은 강릉지역 4개 대학 학생 연합단의 일원으로 참여해 대학 슬로건인 ‘미래를 여는 지식, 세상을 바꾸는 인재’를 알리며 활기차고 열정적인 행진을 펼쳤다.

More than thirty students proudly represented the university as members of a joint delegation from four universities in Gangneung. Marching through the festival streets with energy and enthusiasm, they shared the university’s vision: “Knowledge Opening the Future, Talent Transforming the World.”

3.특히 외국인 유학생들은 한국 학생들과 함께 길놀이에 참여하며 문화와 국적의 경계를 넘어 우정을 나누었고, 강릉단오제의 전통과 의미를 직접 체험하며 한국 사회와 지역문화에 대한 이해를 더욱 깊게 했다.

A particularly touching aspect of the event was the participation of international students, who walked side by side with their Korean peers. Beyond differences in language and nationality, friendships blossomed naturally. Through firsthand encounters with the traditions and symbolism of Gangneung Danoje, they gained a deeper appreciation of Korean society and the rich cultural identity of the region.

4.강원도립대학교는 앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 다양한 국제교류 프로그램을 통해 글로벌 인재를 양성하고 지역사회와의 상생협력을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
