"낮은 임대료, 큰 기회"… 동해시, 도시재생 공공임대점포 입주자 모집

 동해시가 발한지구 도시재생 뉴딜사업의 성과를 이어가고 구도심 상권에 새로운 활력을 불어넣기 위해 동쪽바다중앙시장 내 공공임대점포 입주자를 모집한다.

이번 공공임대점포는 창업을 꿈꾸는 예비 창업자와 소상공인들에게 보다 안정적인 출발 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 주변 시세보다 저렴한 임대료로 공급돼 초기 창업 부담을 크게 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

모집 대상 점포는 총 3개소로 1층 2개소, 2층 1개소이며, 모집 업종은 휴게음식업이다. 카페, 디저트 전문점, 간편 먹거리 매장 등 시장과 연계한 다양한 창업 아이디어가 가능하다.

신청 접수는 오는 6월 11일 하루 동안 진행되며, 세부 사항은 동해시청 홈페이지 공고를 통해 확인할 수 있다.

입주자로 선정되면 최초 3년간 입주 자격이 보장되며, 운영 실적과 평가 결과에 따라 최대 5년까지 연장 입주가 가능하다. 동해시는 1차 서류심사와 2차 면접심사를 통해 도시재생 사업의 취지와 지역 상생에 부합하는 창업자를 최종 선정할 계획이다.

이번 공공임대점포 사업은 단순한 점포 임대를 넘어 지역경제 활성화와 도시재생의 지속 가능성을 높이는 중요한 마중물 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

Donghae City is recruiting tenants for public rental shops located within Dongjjokbada Jungang Market as part of its Balhan District Urban Regeneration New Deal Project.

The initiative aims to revitalize the old downtown commercial area while creating sustainable outcomes from the city's urban regeneration efforts. By offering rental spaces at rates lower than surrounding market prices, the program is expected to reduce startup costs and provide valuable opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

A total of three rental units are available, including two spaces on the first floor and one on the second floor. The designated business category is food and beverage services, allowing applicants to operate cafés, dessert shops, snack bars, and other customer-friendly establishments.

Applications will be accepted on June 11, and detailed information is available through the official Donghae City website.

Selected tenants will be granted an initial three-year lease period, with the possibility of extending occupancy up to five years based on performance evaluations and review results.

The selection process will consist of a document screening followed by an interview evaluation. The city plans to choose applicants whose business plans align with the goals of urban regeneration and local economic revitalization.
