“주택가 안전 지킨다”… 동해시, 건설기계 불법주기 집중 단속

“Protecting Neighborhood Safety” — Donghae City Cracks Down on Illegal Parking of Construction Machinery

동해시가 주택밀집 지역과 도로변 등에 무단으로 주차된 건설기계로 인한 교통사고 위험을 예방하고 주민 불편을 해소하기 위해 5월과 6월 두 차례에 걸쳐 ‘건설기계 불법주기 집중 단속’을 실시한다.

Donghae City will carry out intensive crackdowns twice, in May and June, on illegally parked construction machinery in residential areas and along roadsides in order to prevent traffic accidents and reduce inconvenience to residents.

최근 덤프트럭과 굴착기 등 건설기계가 주택가 주변 도로와 공터 등에 장기간 주차되면서 보행 안전과 교통 흐름을 방해한다는 민원이 지속적으로 제기되고 있다.

Recently, complaints have continued to rise as dump trucks, excavators, and other construction machinery have been parked for extended periods on roadsides and vacant lots near residential neighborhoods, obstructing pedestrian safety and disrupting traffic flow.

이에 시는 건설과 직원을 중심으로 단속반을 편성해 공동주택과 공원 주변 등 민원 다발지역을 대상으로 집중 단속을 실시할 계획이다.

In response, the city has organized a special enforcement team led by the Construction Division to conduct focused inspections in areas with frequent complaints, including apartment complexes and parks.

최초 적발 차량에는 경고장을 부착해 자진 이동을 유도하고, 반복 적발 시에는 횟수에 따라 과태료를 부과할 방침이다. 또 건설기계 소유자를 대상으로 안내문 발송 등 사전 홍보도 병행할 예정이다.

For first-time violations, warning notices will be attached to encourage voluntary relocation. Repeated violations will result in fines depending on the number of offenses. The city will also carry out advance publicity campaigns, including sending notices to construction machinery owners.

동해시는 지난해에도 집중 단속을 통해 총 30건의 불법주기를 적발하는 등 지속적인 관리와 계도 활동을 이어오고 있다.

Last year, Donghae City also identified 30 cases of illegal parking through intensive inspections and has continued ongoing management and guidance efforts.

#홍성표 건설과장은 “건설기계 불법주기로 인한 보행자 안전 위협과 교통 불편 민원이 증가하고 있다”며 “집중 단속을 통해 올바른 주차 문화를 정착시키고 안전한 주거·교통 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Hong Seong-pyo, head of the Construction Division, said, “Complaints regarding pedestrian safety risks and traffic inconvenience caused by illegally parked construction machinery are increasing,” adding, “Through intensive enforcement, we will establish a proper parking culture and work to create a safer residential and transportation environment.”
