한국자유총연맹 천곡동위원회(위원장 권시원)는 천곡동 해안도로와 한섬 일대에서 환경 정화 봉사활동을 실시했다고 20일 밝혔다.

The Korean Freedom Federation Cheongok-dong Committee (Chairperson Kwon Si-won) announced on the 20th that it carried out an environmental cleanup volunteer activity along the Cheongok-dong coastal road and the Hanseom area.

이날 봉사활동에는 회원 18명이 참여해 도로변과 해안가에 방치된 쓰레기를 수거하는 등 자연보호 활동을 펼쳤으며, 총 1 ton의 쓰레기를 수거했다.

 A total of 18 members participated in the volunteer activity, collecting litter left along roadsides and coastal areas as part of environmental protection efforts. Approximately one ton of waste was collected.

#권시원 위원장은 “앞으로도 지속적인 환경 정화 활동을 통해 깨끗하고 쾌적한 천곡동 만들기에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

 Chairperson Kwon Si-won said, “We will continue to take the lead in creating a clean and pleasant Cheongok-dong through ongoing environmental cleanup activities.”

동해시시설관리공단, 농촌일손돕기 활동 실시

Donghae Facilities Management Corporation Conducts Rural Volunteer Support Activity

동해시시설관리공단(이사장 이용빈)은 5월 19일 동해시 만우동 소재 사과 농가를 찾아 2026년 상반기 농촌일손돕기 활동을 실시했다.

Donghae Facilities Management Corporation (Chairperson Lee Yong-bin) visited an apple farm in Manu-dong, Donghae City, on May 19 to carry out its first-half 2026 rural volunteer support activity.

이날 공단 임직원들은 사과 적과 작업에 참여해 과일의 품질 향상과 안정적인 수확을 위한 작업을 도우며 일손 부족으로 어려움을 겪는 농가에 힘을 보탰다.

 Employees of the corporation participated in apple thinning work to help improve fruit quality and ensure stable harvests, providing much-needed support to farms facing labor shortages.

이번 활동은 공단 임직원들의 자발적인 참여로 진행됐으며, 지역 농가의 인력난 해소와 도농 상생 실천의 의미를 더했다.

 The activity was carried out through voluntary participation by employees, highlighting the spirit of urban-rural cooperation and support for local farmers.

#이용빈 시설관리공단 이사장은 “작은 도움이지만 농가에 보탬이 될 수 있어 뜻깊었다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 나눔활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

 Chairperson Lee Yong-bin stated, “Although it was a small gesture, it was meaningful to be able to help local farmers. We will continue to engage in various community-sharing activities in the future.”

묵호노인종합복지관, 어르신 350명 초청 경로잔치 개최

Mukho Senior Welfare Center Hosts Appreciation Festival for 350 Senior Citizens

묵호노인종합복지관(관장 염규성)은 5월 21일 동해장로교회에서 지역 어르신 350명을 초청해 ‘2026년 경로잔치’를 개최했다.

Mukho Senior Welfare Center (Director Yeom Gyu-seong) held the “2026 Appreciation Festival for Seniors” at Donghae Presbyterian Church on May 21, inviting 350 senior citizens from the local community.

이번 행사는 지역사회의 발전을 위해 헌신해 온 어르신들에게 감사의 마음을 전하고 이웃 간 따뜻한 정을 나누기 위해 마련됐다.

 The event was organized to express gratitude to senior citizens who have contributed to the development of the community and to share warmth and fellowship among neighbors.

행사에서는 우쿨렐레와 합창, 어린이 댄스, 고전무용, 지역가수 공연 등 다양한 문화공연이 펼쳐져 어르신들에게 즐거움을 선사했으며, 공연 후에는 정성껏 준비한 식사와 함께 효선물을 전달하며 훈훈함을 더했다.

 Various cultural performances, including ukulele music, choir performances, children’s dance shows, traditional dance, and local singers’ performances, entertained the seniors. After the performances, carefully prepared meals and gifts were presented, adding warmth to the event.

행사에 참여한 김모(78세) 어르신은 “맛있는 음식과 공연 덕분에 행복한 시간을 보냈다”며 감사의 마음을 전했다.

 Mr. Kim (78), one of the participants, expressed his appreciation, saying, “I had a wonderful time thanks to the delicious food and enjoyable performances.”
