“바다가 달라진다”… 동해·묵호항, 공공디자인 입고 안전·관광 품격 높인다

동해지방해양수산청(청장 김채균)은 동해·묵호항 이용자들에게 보다 쾌적하고 안전한 항만환경을 제공하기 위해 항만시설물에 대한 공공디자인 사업을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, headed by Commissioner Kim Chaegyun, announced the full-scale implementation of a public design project for port facilities in Donghae and Mukho Ports to provide users with a safer and more pleasant harbor environment.

이번 공공디자인 사업은 항만시설물 본연의 기능과 안전성을 유지하면서도 이용자 중심의 디자인 요소를 반영해 항만 경관 개선과 공공성 향상을 목표로 추진된다.

The project aims to improve the port landscape and strengthen public usability by incorporating user-centered design elements while maintaining the original functionality and safety of port facilities.

사업 내용으로는 동해·묵호항의 노면표시, 안전라인, 안내표지판 등 각종 편의시설을 정비하고, 미관과 활용성이 저하된 시설물에는 공공디자인을 적용해 새롭게 개선할 계획이다.

The project includes upgrading convenience facilities such as pavement markings, safety lines, and information signboards throughout Donghae and Mukho Ports. Facilities with deteriorated appearance or usability will also be renewed through the application of public design.

Commissioner Kim Chaegyun stated, “We will continue to make every effort to create a safer and more convenient port environment for citizens through ongoing facility improvements and environmental maintenance.”
