화합의 박수, 감동의 기록… 동해에 남은 3일간의 뜨거운 시간

Applause of Unity, Moments of Inspiration… Three Memorable Days Left in Donghae

누군가는 기록을 남겼고,

누군가는 자신의 한계를 넘어섰다.

그리고 누군가는 그 도전을 끝까지 응원했다.

제19회 강원특별자치도장애인생활체육대회는 단순한 스포츠 대회를 넘어,

서로를 이해하고 함께 손을 맞잡는 ‘화합의 시간’으로 동해시에 깊은 울림을 남겼다.

Some broke records.

Some overcame their own limits.

And others stood beside them, cheering until the very end.

The 19th Gangwon State Sports Festival for People with Disabilities was more than just a sporting event.

It became a meaningful celebration of unity, courage, and shared humanity in the city of Donghae.

5월의 바다 바람이 부드럽게 스치던 동해시 곳곳에서는

선수들의 땀과 미소, 응원의 박수가 어우러졌다.

18개 시·군에서 모인 선수단과 임원들은

17개 종목에서 치열한 경쟁을 펼쳤지만,

승패보다 더 빛났던 것은 서로를 향한 존중과 배려였다.

Across Donghae, where the gentle sea breeze of May filled the air,

athletes’ determination, bright smiles, and warm applause blended beautifully together.

Teams from all 18 cities and counties of Gangwon competed passionately in 17 sports events.

Yet beyond victory and defeat, what truly stood out was the respect and encouragement shared among everyone.

폐회식이 열린 동해체육관에는

아쉬움과 벅찬 감동이 함께 머물렀다.

춘천시 선수단은 최우수 선수단상을 수상했고,

사이클 종목의 정지우 선수는 대회 MVP로 선정됐다.

개최지 동해시는 성취상과 모범선수단상을 수상하며

이번 대회의 의미를 더욱 특별하게 만들었다.

At the closing ceremony held at Donghae Gymnasium,

there was both a sense of farewell and deep emotion.

The Chuncheon team received the Best Team Award,

while cyclist Jung Ji-woo from Sokcho was named MVP of the tournament.

The host city, Donghae, also earned the Achievement Award and Exemplary Team Award, adding even greater meaning to the event.

무엇보다 이번 대회는

보이지 않는 곳에서 묵묵히 움직인 수많은 사람들의 헌신으로 완성됐다.

경기 운영 요원들, 자원봉사자들, 안전관리 인력, 시민들의 따뜻한 배려는

동해시를 단순한 개최지가 아니라

‘함께 살아가는 도시’로 기억하게 만들었다.

More than anything, this festival was made possible by the dedication of countless people working behind the scenes.

From volunteers and staff members to safety personnel and local citizens,

their kindness transformed Donghae from merely a host city into a city remembered for its compassion and community spirit.

스포츠는 때때로 메달보다 더 큰 감동을 남긴다.

이번 장애인생활체전이 바로 그러했다.

서로 다른 삶과 조건 속에서도

함께 웃고 응원하며 하나가 되었던 시간.

동해시는 그 아름다운 장면들을 오래도록 기억하게 될 것이다.

Sometimes sports leave behind something even greater than medals.

This festival was exactly that kind of moment.

People from different backgrounds came together,

sharing laughter, encouragement, and unforgettable memories.
