“바다 위 안전, 체험으로 배운다”

동해지방해양수산청(청장 김채균)은 오는 5월 20일 동해항에서 해양종사자를 대상으로 ‘2026년 상반기 해양안전교육 및 선박안전설비 시연회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, headed by Commissioner Kim Chae-gyun, announced that it will hold the “2026 First-Half Maritime Safety Training and Ship Safety Equipment Demonstration” for maritime workers at Donghae Port on May 20.

이번 시연회는 선원과 선사 직원 등 해양종사자들이 선박 비상상황 시 사용되는 각종 안전장비를 직접 체험할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

The event is designed to provide maritime workers, including sailors and shipping company staff, with hands-on experience using various emergency safety equipment utilized aboard ships.

행사에서는 휴대용 소화기, 구명조끼, 신호홍염, 발연부신호 등 주요 안전설비를 직접 사용해보는 체험형 프로그램이 진행될 예정이다.

Participants will be able to directly use and experience key safety devices such as portable fire extinguishers, life jackets, signal flares, and smoke signals through practical training programs.

또한 선내 화재 상황을 가정한 소화 및 퇴선훈련과 함께, 실제 바다에 구명뗏목을 투하하는 시연도 진행된다. 관계자들은 구명뗏목 사용 시 주의사항과 구비품 활용 방법 등에 대한 교육도 함께 실시할 계획이다.

In addition, firefighting and abandon-ship drills simulating onboard fire emergencies will be conducted, alongside a live demonstration of deploying a life raft into the sea. Officials will also provide education on operational precautions and the proper use of life raft equipment.

아울러 한국해양수산연수원 소속 해양안전 전문강사가 예부선 충돌사고와 예인줄 사고 등 실제 사고 사례를 소개하며, 예부선 사고 예방을 위한 안전교육도 진행할 예정이다.

Furthermore, maritime safety experts from the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology will introduce real accident cases, including tugboat collision incidents and towing line accidents, while providing specialized safety education aimed at preventing such accidents.

동해지방해양수산청 관계자는 “지속적인 해양안전교육과 선박안전설비 시연을 통해 해양사고 예방과 인명피해 저감에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

An official from the Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries stated, “We will continue to do our utmost to prevent maritime accidents and reduce casualties through ongoing maritime safety education and ship safety equipment demonstrations.”
