Rural Experience Village Revitalization Expected… Registration for 160 Participants Closed Early

동해시는 5월 15일부터 16일까지 이틀간 분토농촌체험휴양마을에서 ‘찹쌀고추장 담그기 체험행사’를 운영했다고 밝혔다.

Donghae announced that it successfully held a “Glutinous Rice Gochujang-Making Experience” for two days from May 15 to 16 at the Bunto Rural Experience Village.

이번 행사는 5월 가정의 달을 맞아 가족이 함께 전통 먹거리를 만들며 우리 고유의 장 문화를 체험할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

The event was organized in celebration of Family Month in May, allowing families to make traditional Korean food together while experiencing Korea’s unique fermented sauce culture.

특히 분토마을에서 엄선한 100% 국내산 고춧가루와 재료를 사용해 건강한 먹거리를 직접 만들 수 있다는 점에서 참가자들의 높은 관심을 끌었으며, 선착순 160명 모집이 조기 마감됐다.

 In particular, the program drew strong interest because participants could make healthy traditional food themselves using 100% domestically sourced Korean chili powder and carefully selected ingredients prepared by the village. Registration for the 160 available spots closed early.

참가자들은 분토마을 체험 강사로부터 전통 방식의 고추장 제조법을 배우고, 직접 찹쌀고추장 2kg을 담그는 체험을 진행했다.

 Participants learned traditional gochujang-making techniques from instructors at the village and personally made 2 kilograms of glutinous rice gochujang.

또한 체험비 6만5천 원 가운데 2만5천 원이 지원돼 참가자들은 4만 원의 비용으로 체험에 참여할 수 있었다.

 In addition, 25,000 won of the 65,000-won participation fee was subsidized, allowing attendees to join the program for only 40,000 won.

시는 이번 행사가 지역 농산물 소비 촉진은 물론 농촌 체험마을 활성화와 도농 교류 확대에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The city expects the event to help promote local agricultural products, revitalize rural experience villages, and expand urban-rural exchanges.

아울러 앞으로도 다양한 체험 프로그램 운영을 통해 체험마을의 자립 기반 강화에 힘쓸 계획이다.

 The city also plans to continue strengthening the self-sustainability of rural experience villages by developing and operating a variety of hands-on programs.

#박현주 농업기술센터소장은 “가족이 함께 전통의 맛을 배우고 정을 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 시민들이 즐길 수 있는 다양한 농촌 체험 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
