Donghae City Launches Full Survey of Children Under Six With No Medical Records

동해시는 의료기관 이용 이력이 없거나 예방접종·건강검진 이력이 확인되지 않는 6세 이하 아동을 대상으로 오는 5월부터 9월까지 ‘의료 미이용 아동 전수조사’를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it will conduct a comprehensive survey from May to September targeting children under the age of six who have no record of medical service use, vaccinations, or health checkups.

이번 조사는 의료서비스 이용이 거의 없는 영유아를 조기에 발굴해 건강 상태와 양육 환경을 확인하고, 복지 사각지대를 예방하기 위해 추진된다. 동해시 조사 대상은 총 48명이다.

 The survey is designed to identify infants and young children with little or no access to medical services at an early stage, assess their health conditions and caregiving environments, and prevent welfare blind spots. A total of 48 children in Donghae City are subject to the investigation.

조사 대상은 ▲국가 예방접종 미접종 ▲최근 1년 이내 의료기관 미이용 ▲영유아 건강검진 미검진 등 3개 항목 가운데 하나 이상에 해당하는 6세 이하 아동이다.

 The survey targets children under six who meet at least one of the following conditions: ▲no national vaccinations ▲no medical institution visits within the past year ▲no infant or child health screenings.

조사는 동 행정복지센터 직원이 가정에 직접 방문하여 조사하며, 아동의 건강 상태와 보호·양육 환경 등을 종합적으로 확인할 계획이다.

 Officials from local administrative welfare centers will visit homes directly to assess children’s health conditions as well as their caregiving and living environments.

시는 조사 과정에서 위기 상황이 확인될 경우 드림스타트, 사례관리, 보건·의료 지원 등 맞춤형 서비스를 연계하고, 학대가 의심되는 경우에는 관계기관과 협력해 즉시 대응할 방침이다.

 If any risk factors are identified during the survey, the city plans to provide customized support services, including Dream Start programs, case management, and healthcare assistance. In suspected abuse cases, authorities will immediately cooperate with related agencies for rapid intervention.
