동해시가 양대 도민체전을 앞두고 숙박·외식업소를 중심으로 현장 물가관리와 서비스 점검에 나선다.

동해시 will strengthen on-site price monitoring and service inspections for lodging and restaurant businesses ahead of the upcoming provincial sports festivals.

이와 관련해 13일 천곡동과 묵호항 일원에서 경제과, 예방관리과, 상인회 등이 참여한 가운데 민관 합동 점검과 계도 활동을 실시한다.

 On May 13, joint inspections and guidance campaigns involving the Economic Affairs Division, Prevention Management Division, and local merchant associations will be conducted in the Cheongok-dong and Mukho Port areas.

이번 점검은 체전 기간 방문객 증가에 대비해 바가지요금, 예약 일방 취소, 가격 과다 인상 등 불공정 거래행위를 사전에 차단하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

 The inspections are aimed at preventing unfair business practices in advance, including price gouging, unilateral reservation cancellations, and excessive price hikes during the sports event period when visitor numbers are expected to rise.

현장에서는 가격표시제 이행 여부, 메뉴판 가격 준수, 원산지 표시, 위생 상태 등을 확인하고, 숙박·음식업소를 대상으로 친절 응대 및 이용객 배려 사항도 함께 안내한다.

Inspectors will check compliance with price display regulations, menu pricing consistency, country-of-origin labeling, and sanitation conditions. Guidance on customer-friendly service and visitor consideration will also be provided to lodging and food service businesses.

□ 특히 5월 15일부터 6월 16일까지 ‘바가지요금 신고센터’를 운영해 소비자단체 모니터링과 연계한 현장 점검과 민원 즉시 대응 체계를 가동할 계획이다.

 In particular, from May 15 to June 16, the city will operate a “Price Gouging Reporting Center,” enabling immediate on-site inspections and rapid response measures in cooperation with consumer group monitoring activities.

주요 점검 대상은 ▲공표요금 외 추가요금 징수 ▲숙박 예약 거부 및 일방 취소 ▲가격 과다 인상 및 담합 ▲카드결제 및 현금영수증 발급 거부 행위 등이다.

 Major inspection targets include:

Charging additional fees beyond publicly posted prices

Refusing or unilaterally canceling lodging reservations

Excessive price increases and collusion

Refusal of card payments or issuance of cash receipts

#신영선 경제산업국장은 “체전 기간 동안 공정한 거래질서와 안정적인 물가 관리에 행정력을 집중하겠다”며 “업주와 시민들의 협조를 당부드린다”고 말했다.
