‘2026년 상반기 강릉시 외국인주민 및 다문화가족 지원협의회’ 개최

2026 First-Half Foreign Residents & Multicultural Families Support Council Convened

강릉시는 11일(월) 오후 3시 강릉시청 8층 상황실에서 관내 이주민의 안정적 정착을 돕기 위한 「2026년 상반기 외국인주민 및 다문화가족 지원협의회」를 개최했다.

강릉시 held the “2026 First-Half Foreign Residents and Multicultural Families Support Council” at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 11, in the conference room on the 8th floor of City Hall to support the stable settlement of migrants living in the region.

이번 협의회는 지역 내 다문화가족과 외국인 주민이 꾸준히 증가함에 따라, 시대적 변화에 발맞춘 실효성 있는 지원방안을 모색하고 상생하는 지역사회를 만들기 위해 마련됐다.

The council meeting was organized in response to the steady increase in multicultural families and foreign residents in the region, aiming to explore practical support measures suited to changing times and to foster an inclusive and mutually supportive local community.

이날 회의에는 위원장인 김상영 부시장을 비롯해 조연정 시 복지민원국장, 박창우 가톨릭관동대학교 사회복지학과 교수, 최은해 강릉시가족센터장 등 총 8명의 위원이 참석해 심도 있는 논의를 진행했다.

The meeting was attended by eight committee members, including Vice Mayor Kim Sang-young, who serves as chairperson, Welfare and Civil Affairs Bureau Director Jo Yeon-jeong, Professor Park Chang-woo of the Department of Social Welfare at Catholic Kwandong University, and Choi Eun-hae, Director of the Gangneung Family Center, who engaged in in-depth discussions.

회의는 2025년 외국인 주민 및 다문화가족 지원 사업 주요 추진 성과를 짚어보고, 2026년 추진 계획 보고에 이어 위원들의 폭넓은 정책 제안과 의견을 수렴하는 순서로 진행됐다.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the major achievements of the 2025 support programs for foreign residents and multicultural families, followed by presentations on the 2026 implementation plans and extensive policy suggestions and opinions from committee members.

강릉시는 이번 협의회에서 제안된 다양한 전문가 의견을 적극 검토해 올해 주요 사업 추진은 물론 향후 시정 운영 및 정책 수립 전반에 반영할 계획이다.

강릉시 stated that it plans to actively review the various expert opinions presented during the council meeting and reflect them not only in this year’s key projects but also in future municipal administration and policy planning.

#김상영 부시장은 “다문화가족과 외국인주민은 단순한 지원 대상을 넘어 우리 지역사회를 함께 이끌어갈 소중한 구성원”이라고 강조하며, “서로의 문화가 조화롭게 어우러지는 따뜻한 도시 강릉을 만들기 위해 다방면으로 지원과 노력을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 말했다.

Vice Mayor Kim Sang-young emphasized, “Multicultural families and foreign residents are not merely recipients of support, but valuable members who will help lead and shape our local community together.” He added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support and efforts in various fields to build a warm city of Gangneung where diverse cultures harmoniously coexist.”
