강원특별자치도는 5월 8일(금), 영월산업진흥원 대회의실에서 2026년 제2회 「강원특별자치도 폐광지역투자유치위원회」를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon State Government announced that it held the 2nd 2026 “Gangwon State Former Mining Area Investment Attraction Committee” meeting on Friday, May 8, at the conference hall of the Yeongwol Industry Promotion Institute.

강원특별자치도는 석탄산업전환지역의 기업 투자 활성화를 위해 「강원특별자치도 폐광지역투자유치위원회」를 운영하고 있으며, 투자기업의 적정성 평가와 지원 금액 등을 심의하고 있다.

Gangwon State operates the committee to promote corporate investment in coal industry transition regions, reviewing the eligibility of investment companies and deliberating support subsidy amounts.

이번 위원회에서는 영월군 소재 1개 투자기업에 대한 보조금 지원 안건이 심의되었으며, 기업의 투자 현황과 경영 실적 등을 종합적으로 검토하고 논의했다.

During this meeting, the committee reviewed a subsidy support proposal for an investment company located in Yeongwol, comprehensively examining the company’s investment status and business performance.

「강원특별자치도 폐광지역투자유치위원회」 위원장인 #박유식 강원특별자치도 미래산업국장은 “이번 위원회를 통해 석탄산업전환지역 투자기업 지원 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다”며 “앞으로도 기업과 지역이 함께 성장할 수 있도록 투자 확대와 기업 유치 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Park Yoo-sik, Director General of the Future Industry Bureau of Gangwon State and chairperson of the committee, stated, “Through this committee meeting, we deeply discussed support measures for investment companies in coal industry transition regions,” adding, “We will continue to pursue policies that expand investment attraction and encourage companies and local communities to grow together.”
