5월 21일부터 6월 18일까지 운영… 불법 선거광고물 집중 단속

Operation Runs from May 21 to June 18… Crackdown on Illegal Election Advertisements Intensified

동해시는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 행정안전부의 ‘선거광고물 관리지침’에 따라 오는 5월 21일부터 6월 18일까지 ‘선거 현수막 지정게시대’를 한시 운영한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae announced that it will temporarily operate designated election banner boards from May 21 to June 18 in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s “Election Advertisement Management Guidelines” ahead of the 9th Nationwide Local Elections.

 이번 조치는 선거철마다 반복되는 불법 현수막 난립을 예방하고 안전한 도시환경을 조성하기 위한 것으로, 옥외광고물법 적용 대상인 선거광고물의 체계적인 관리를 위해 추진된다.

 The measure aims to prevent the repeated spread of illegal banners during election seasons and create a safer urban environment. It is being implemented to systematically manage election-related advertisements subject to the Outdoor Advertising Act.

적용 대상은 ▲투표 참여 권유 현수막 ▲후원금 모금 고지 광고물 ▲선거일 후 답례 현수막 ▲후원회 사무소 현수막 등 4종이며, 관련법에 따라 사전 신고와 지정게시대 게시가 의무화된다.

 The policy applies to four types of election-related banners: ▲voter participation encouragement banners ▲fundraising notice advertisements ▲post-election appreciation banners ▲campaign office banners. Under relevant laws, prior 신고 (registration/reporting) and use of designated banner boards are mandatory.

시는 운영기간 동안 지정게시대 36면을 확보해 운영할 계획이며, 이용 희망자는 사전 예약 후 사용할 수 있다.

 During the operation period, the city plans to provide 36 designated banner spaces. Applicants wishing to use the facilities must make reservations in advance.

 이와 함께 시는 불법광고물 집중 단속도 병행할 계획이다. 지정게시대를 이용하지 않거나 관련 규정을 위반해 설치된 현수막에 대해서는 시정명령과 즉시 철거 등 강력 대응할 방침이다.

 The city will also carry out intensive crackdowns on illegal advertisements. Banners installed without using designated boards or in violation of regulations will face strong enforcement measures, including correction orders and immediate removal.

또한 선거사무실 외벽이나 옥상 등에 설치되는 대형 현수막은 정당 및 후보자에게 설치·관리 책임이 부여돼 안전사고 예방과 신속한 현장 대응에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

 In addition, political parties and candidates will bear responsibility for the installation and management of large banners placed on campaign office walls or rooftops, which is expected to help prevent safety accidents and enable quicker on-site responses.

#김봉학 도시과장은 “이번 조치는 선거 현수막 난립으로 인한 주민 불편과 안전사고 우려를 줄이기 위한 것”이라며 “올바른 옥외광고 문화 정착을 위해 지정게시대 이용에 적극 협조해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.

 Kim Bong-hak, head of the Urban Affairs Division, said, “This measure is intended to reduce public inconvenience and safety concerns caused by excessive election banners,” adding, “We ask for active cooperation in using designated banner boards to establish a proper outdoor advertising culture.”
