오는 5월 9일 오후 2시, 강원감영 일원에서 특별한 시간 여행이 펼쳐진다.

강원특별자치도문화예술모델교육협회가 주최하는 원주패션페스티벌 ‘원주에서 보내는 특별한 봄날, 전통을 입다’가 시민과 관광객들을 맞이하며, 전통과 현대가 조화롭게 어우러지는 감성 문화축제로 봄날의 원주를 물들인다.

On May 9 at 2 PM, a beautiful journey through Korean history and aesthetics will unfold at 강원감영.

Hosted by the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Culture & Arts Model Education Association, the Wonju Fashion Festival, titled “A Beautiful Spring Day in Wonju, Wearing the Spirit of Tradition,” invites citizens and visitors to experience a cultural celebration where tradition and modern sensibility harmoniously meet.

이번 패션페스티벌의 하이라이트는 삼국시대부터 조선시대까지 시대별 전통의상을 재현하는 대규모 전통 패션쇼다.

120여 명의 모델들이 무대에 올라 한국 전통 의복이 지닌 선과 색, 품격과 아름다움을 현대적인 감각으로 풀어내며, 마치 살아 움직이는 역사책 같은 장면을 연출할 예정이다.

The highlight of the festival will be a grand traditional fashion show showcasing historical Korean costumes from the Three Kingdoms Period to the Joseon Dynasty.

More than 120 models will walk the stage, bringing the elegance, colors, and refined beauty of Korean traditional attire to life with a modern artistic touch — transforming the runway into a living history book.

단순한 의상 전시를 넘어, 이번 행사는 우리 전통문화의 깊이를 직접 체험하고 공감하는 문화예술 교육의 장으로도 기대를 모은다.

화려한 한복의 움직임과 한국적 미학이 어우러진 무대는 관람객들에게 잊지 못할 감동과 사진 같은 순간을 선사할 전망이다.

More than just a costume exhibition, the event is expected to serve as an immersive cultural and artistic experience where visitors can truly connect with the depth of Korean heritage.

The graceful flow of hanbok and the beauty of Korean aesthetics on stage will create unforgettable, picture-perfect moments for the audience.

행사 당일 오전 11시부터는 지역 동아리 공연이 펼쳐지며 축제의 시작을 알린다.

이어 학생들이 유생복을 입고 참여하는 ‘과거급제 시험’ 체험이 진행돼 조선시대 선비 문화를 흥미롭게 경험할 수 있다.

또한 시화전과 한국무용 공연 등 전통 예술 프로그램도 함께 마련돼, 강원감영 전체가 하나의 살아있는 문화 공간으로 변신할 예정이다.

Starting from 11 AM, local club performances will energize the festival atmosphere.

Students dressed in traditional Confucian scholar attire will also participate in a reenactment of the historic state examination, offering visitors a fun and educational glimpse into Joseon-era culture.

In addition, poetry exhibitions and traditional Korean dance performances will transform the entire venue into a vibrant cultural art space filled with Korean heritage and springtime emotion.
