안전·시인성 강화… 선수단·방문객 이동 편의 개선 총력

Focusing on Safety and Visibility Improvements for Athletes and Visitors

동해시가 도민체전과 장애인체전을 앞두고 추진 중인 도로 시설물 정비사업이 마무리 단계에 접어들었다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that its road facility maintenance project, underway ahead of the Provincial Sports Festival and Provincial Para Sports Festival, has entered its final stage.

시는 현재 체전 기간 동안 최상의 도로 환경을 유지하기 위해 세부 점검과 보수 작업을 병행하며 완성도를 높이고 있다고 설명했다.

 The city explained that it is simultaneously carrying out detailed inspections and repair work to ensure optimal road conditions throughout the sports events.

주요 정비 내용은 ▲파손된 아스팔트 포장 복구 ▲차선 도색 ▲도로표지판 및 교통시설물 정비 등으로, 운전자와 보행자 모두의 안전 확보와 시인성 개선에 중점을 두고 추진되고 있다.

 Major maintenance work includes ▲repairing damaged asphalt pavement ▲repainting traffic lanes ▲improving road signs and traffic facilities, with a focus on enhancing safety and visibility for both drivers and pedestrians.

특히 경기장 접근도로와 주요 이동 구간을 중심으로 집중 보수를 실시해 선수단과 방문객들의 이동 편의를 한층 강화할 계획이다.

 In particular, the city plans to strengthen transportation convenience for athletes and visitors by conducting intensive repairs on access roads to stadiums and major traffic routes.

앞서 시는 중앙분리대와 가드레일, 도로측구 등 주요 도로시설물에 대한 1차 환경정비를 완료했으며, 현재는 세척 작업과 추가 보수 작업을 진행 중이다.

 Previously, the city completed the first phase of environmental maintenance for key road facilities such as central dividers, guardrails, and roadside gutters, and is now carrying out cleaning and additional repair work.

시는 개막 전까지 모든 정비를 완료하고, 체전 기간 중에도 지속적인 현장 점검을 통해 안전사고 예방에 총력을 기울일 방침이다.

 The city plans to complete all maintenance work before the opening ceremony and continue on-site inspections during the events to prevent safety accidents.

#홍성표 건설과장은 “마지막까지 세밀한 점검을 통해 부족한 부분을 보완하고 있다”며 “선수단과 시민, 방문객 모두가 안전하게 이동할 수 있도록 관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

 Hong Seong-pyo, head of the Construction Division, said, “We are complementing any 부족한 부분 through meticulous inspections until the very end,” adding, “We will do our utmost to ensure that athletes, citizens, and visitors can travel safely.”
