Donghae City Launches Dental Health Kit Rental Program

동해시보건소는 관내 영유아와 아동의 올바른 구강관리 습관 형성을 위해 ‘치아건강 꾸러미’ 대여를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae City Public Health Center announced that it will operate a “Dental Health Kit” rental program to help infants and children develop proper oral hygiene habits.

이번 사업은 유아 및 학령기 아동이 놀이와 체험을 통해 구강건강의 중요성을 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 마련된 체험형 구강보건사업이다.

This program is an experiential oral health initiative designed to help young children and school-age students naturally understand the importance of oral health through play and hands-on activities.

대여 대상은 관내 어린이집․유치원 및 초등학생 이하 자녀를 둔 가정이며, 5월부터 연중 예약제로 운영된다. 신청은 동해시보건소 구강보건실(☎033-530-2409)로 가능하며, 대여기간은 어린이집 ‧ 유치원은 2주, 가정은 1주다.

The rental service is available to local daycare centers, kindergartens, and families with elementary school-aged children or younger. It will operate year-round by reservation starting in May. Applications can be made through the Oral Health Office of the Donghae Public Health Center (☎033-530-2409). The rental period is two weeks for institutions and one week for households.

꾸러미에는 치면세균막관찰기기(큐스캔), 치과놀이 장난감 세트(10종), 어린이 의사가운, 구강건강 그림책(5권)이 포함돼 아이들이 쉽고 재미있게 구강건강을 배울 수 있도록 구성됐다.

The kit includes a dental plaque detection device (Q-scan), a set of 10 dental play toys, a children’s doctor gown, and five oral health storybooks, all designed to help children learn about oral hygiene in a fun and engaging way.

이와 함께 동해시보건소는 초등학생을 대상으로 ‘이튼튼 치아교실’을 운영하는 등 아동 구강건강 증진을 위한 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다.

In addition, the Donghae Public Health Center is promoting various programs to improve children’s oral health, including the “Strong Teeth Classroom” for elementary school students.

#홍종란 보건정책과장은 “아이들이 치과를 친숙하게 느끼고, 놀이를 통해 자연스럽게 올바른 구강관리 습관을 형성할 수 있도록 프로그램을 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 시민을 위한 다양한 구강보건 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

Hong Jong-ran, Head of the Health Policy Division, stated, “We have designed this program to help children feel more comfortable with dental care and to naturally develop proper oral hygiene habits through play,” adding, “We will continue to expand various oral health programs for our citizens.”
