최광익 강원도교육감 예비후보는 오는 2026년 4월 30일(목) 오전 10시, 강원도교육청 브리핑룸에서 ‘군인가족 특화 교육정책 공약 발표’ 기자회견을 개최한다.

이번 기자회견은 도내 군인 가족이 겪는 교육 환경의 특수성과 현실적 어려움을 반영하여, 전국 최초로 ‘군인 가족 맞춤형 교육복지 생태계’를 구축하기 위한 종합 정책 비전을 제시하는 자리다.

최 후보는 이날 ▲군인 가족 교육지원센터 구축 ▲격오지 밀리터리 에듀케어 운영 ▲가족상생 채용 프로젝트 추진 ▲군인 자녀 사교육비 지원 정책 등 4대 핵심 공약을 중심으로, 군인가족의 교육격차 해소와 실질적 교육복지 실현 방안을 단계적으로 발표할 예정이다.

특히, 잦은 근무지 이동과 격오지 근무로 인한 학습 공백 문제를 해결하기 위한 ‘밀리터리 에듀케어’ 시스템과, 군인 가족의 안정적인 정착을 지원하는 교육·고용 연계 정책이 주목된다.

Preliminary Candidate Choi Kwang-ik Announces Specialized Education Policy for Military Families

“Those who defend the nation—Choi Kwang-ik will defend their children’s education.”

#Choi Kwang-ik, a preliminary candidate for Superintendent of Education in Gangwon Province, will hold a press conference on April 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the briefing room of the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education to announce his “Specialized Education Policy for Military Families.”

This press conference aims to present a comprehensive policy vision to establish the nation’s first “Customized Educational Welfare Ecosystem for Military Families,” reflecting the unique educational conditions and real-life challenges faced by military households in the province.

During the event, Choi will unveil four key policy initiatives: the establishment of a Military Family Education Support Center, the operation of Military Edu-Care programs in remote areas, the launch of a Family Co-prosperity Employment Project, and financial support for private education expenses for children of military personnel.

In particular, the proposed “Military Edu-Care” system is designed to address learning gaps caused by frequent relocations and remote postings, while integrated education-employment policies aim to support the stable settlement of military families.

Choi emphasized, “The educational responsibility for soldiers and their families—who dedicate themselves to the nation—must be shared by both the government and the local community,” adding, “I will ensure that children of military families can grow without discrimination in any environment.”
