동해시, 장애인체전 D-25 ‘최종 보고회’ 열고 준비상황 점검

Donghae City Holds Final Briefing at D-25 for Disabled Sports Festival, Reviews Preparations

동해시는 제19회 강원특별자치도장애인생활체육대회(D-25)와 제61회 강원특별자치도민체육대회(D-50)를 앞두고 성공적인 개최를 위한 막바지 준비 상황을 최종 점검했다.

Donghae City conducted a final inspection of preparations ahead of the 19th Gangwon State Disabled Sports Festival (D-25) and the 61st Gangwon State Sports Festival (D-50), aiming for a successful hosting.

시는 23일 시청 회의실에서 심규언 시장 주재로 관계자 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 추진상황 최종 보고회를 개최하고, 분야별 준비 현황과 협업 과제를 종합적으로 점검했다.

On the 23rd, the city held a final progress briefing at City Hall, attended by around 50 officials under Mayor Sim Gyu-eon, comprehensively reviewing preparations and collaborative tasks across sectors.

이날 보고회에서는 개·폐회식 운영 준비를 비롯해 교통·주차 대책, 안전관리 및 응급 의료 지원, 숙박업소 위생 점검, 시가지 환경 정비 등 대회 운영 전반을 집중 점검했다.

The meeting focused on overall event operations, including opening and closing ceremony preparations, traffic and parking measures, safety management, emergency medical support, accommodation hygiene inspections, and urban environment maintenance.

교통 분야에서는 주요 도로 도색공사와 노후 교통안전시설물 정비를 진행 중이며, 대회 기간 중 교통 혼잡 최소화를 위해 경찰 등 유관기관과 긴밀한 협조체계를 유지하고 있다.

In the transportation sector, road repainting and upgrades of aging traffic safety facilities are underway, while close cooperation with police and related agencies is being maintained to minimize congestion during the event.

안전관리 분야에서는 다중운집 행사에 대비해 안전대책을 강화하고, 대회 전 유관기관과 합동 현장점검을 실시해 위험요소를 사전 점검하고 보완할 계획이다.

In terms of safety management, the city plans to strengthen measures for large gatherings and conduct joint on-site inspections with relevant organizations to identify and address potential risks in advance.

숙박 및 환경 분야에서는 숙박업소 위생 점검을 지속 실시하고 있으며, 쾌적한 도시 환경 조성을 위해 환경정화 활동과 수목 정비, 가로환경 개선도 병행 추진하고 있다.

For accommodation and environmental management, continuous hygiene inspections are being conducted, alongside environmental clean-up campaigns, tree maintenance, and streetscape improvements to enhance the city’s appearance.

자원봉사자는 장애인체전 390명, 도민체전 558명 등 총 948명이 모집되었으며, 개·폐회식 지원, 주차 안내, 경기 보조 등 다양한 역할을 수행하게 된다.

A total of 948 volunteers have been recruited—390 for the Disabled Sports Festival and 558 for the Provincial Sports Festival—who will assist with ceremonies, parking guidance, and game operations.

시는 자원봉사자 사전 교육을 통해 친절 서비스와 안전 대응 역량을 강화해 대회 운영의 완성도를 높일 방침이다.

The city plans to enhance service quality and safety response capabilities through pre-training programs for volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.

또한 지속적인 홍보를 통해 축제 분위기를 조성하고, 강원문화대제전 등 다양한 문화행사를 병행해 시민과 방문객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장을 마련할 계획이다.

In addition, the city will promote a festive atmosphere through continuous publicity and organize various cultural events, including the Gangwon Cultural Grand Festival, creating a space for citizens and visitors to enjoy together.

#심규언 동해시장은 “도민과 장애인 모두가 안전하고 편안하게 참여할 수 있도록 마지막까지 세밀하게 준비하겠다”며 “시민과 함께 만드는 성공적인 체전이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Mayor Sim Gyu-eon stated, “We will make every effort to ensure thorough preparations so that all participants, including people with disabilities, can safely and comfortably take part,” adding, “We will do our best to create a successful festival together with our citizens.”
