“무료 AI 교육 풀렸다”… 동해시, 공무원·기업 실무 혁신 ‘직격탄’

동해시, 실무형 AI 교육 본격 운영… 행정·산업 ‘스마트 전환’ 가속

Donghae City Launches Practical AI Training Program to Accelerate Smart Transformation in Administration and Industry

동해시가 공공행정과 산업 현장의 디지털 전환을 이끌 실무형 인공지능(AI) 교육 프로그램을 본격적으로 운영한다.

Donghae City has officially launched a practical artificial intelligence (AI) training program to drive digital transformation in public administration and local industries.

동해시(시장 심규언)와 한림대학교(총장 최양희)는 동해시 청소년센터와 북평산업단지 복합문화센터에서 공공행정 및 지역 산업체 종사자를 대상으로 「한림 G-Lab@동해 지역 연계 실무형 AI 교육 프로그램」을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City (Mayor Shim Gyu-eon), in partnership with Hallym University (President Choi Yang-hee), announced the operation of the “Hallym G-Lab@Donghae Practical AI Training Program,” targeting public officials and employees of local industries at the Donghae Youth Center and the Bukpyeong Industrial Complex Cultural Center.

시는 앞서 지난 1월 AI 기초 역량 강화를 위한 기본 활용 교육을 실시한 바 있으며, 이번 4월부터는 심화 과정과 AI 미디어 활용 과정을 추가해 한층 고도화된 교육을 진행한다.

The city previously conducted basic AI training in January to strengthen foundational competencies. Starting this April, the program has been upgraded with advanced courses and AI media utilization training.

이번 프로그램은 4월부터 7월까지 매월 1회씩 총 4회에 걸쳐 운영되며, AI 기본 활용과 AI 미디어 활용 두 가지 과정으로 구성된다. 교육은 오전 기초 과정과 오후 심화 과정으로 나뉘어 참가자가 수준에 맞게 선택 수강할 수 있도록 설계됐다.

The program will run once a month from April to July, for a total of four sessions. It consists of two tracks: basic AI utilization and AI media applications. Participants can choose courses based on their level, with foundational sessions in the morning and advanced sessions in the afternoon.

특히 AI 기본 활용 심화 과정은 행정 분야와 산업체 종사자의 직무 특성을 반영해 교육 내용을 차별화함으로써 실무 활용도를 극대화할 계획이다.

In particular, the advanced AI utilization course is tailored separately for administrative and industrial sectors, maximizing practical applicability by reflecting job-specific needs.

4월 교육은 4월 23일부터 24일까지 진행되며, 동해시 청소년센터와 북평산업단지 복합문화센터에서 열린다. 이어 5월 교육은 5월 12일부터 14일까지 3일간 진행되며, 참가자는 5월 1일부터 8일까지 선착순으로 모집한다.

The April session will take place from April 23 to 24 at the Donghae Youth Center and Bukpyeong Industrial Complex Cultural Center. The May session is scheduled for May 12–14, with participant registration open from May 1 to May 8 on a first-come, first-served basis.

교육 정원은 과정별로 AI 기본 활용 15명, AI 미디어 활용 10명으로 운영되며, 모든 교육은 무료로 제공된다.

Each course will accommodate 15 participants for basic AI training and 10 participants for AI media training, and all sessions will be provided free of charge.

참가 신청은 홍보 포스터의 QR코드를 통해 접수할 수 있으며, 자세한 안내는 시청 홈페이지와 관련 기관 게시판을 통해 공지될 예정이다.

Applications can be submitted via QR codes on promotional posters, with detailed information to be announced on the city’s official website and relevant 기관 bulletin boards.

#이선우 기획예산담당관은 “급변하는 디지털 환경 속에서 AI 활용 능력은 공공과 민간 모두에게 필수적인 생존 전략”이라며 “이번 교육을 통해 공직사회와 지역 산업계의 실질적인 업무 혁신을 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee Sun-woo, Director of Planning and Budget, stated, “In a rapidly changing digital environment, AI competency is a critical survival strategy for both public and private sectors,” adding, “This program will support practical innovation in administrative work and industrial operations.”
