재난사고 우려 시설물 선제 점검…‘시민이 안전한 행복도시 동해시’ 구현

Donghae City Conducts Preemptive Safety Inspections to Build a “Safe and Happy City for Citizens”

동해시가 생활 주변 재난사고 우려 시설물을 사전에 점검하고 사회 전반의 안전관리 실태를 점검·개선하기 위해 4월 20일부터 6월 19일까지 두 달간 ‘2026년 집중안전점검’을 실시한다.

Donghae City announced that it will carry out the “2026 Intensive Safety Inspection” for two months, from April 20 to June 19, to proactively inspect facilities vulnerable to disasters and improve overall safety management conditions across society.

이번 점검은 시민 안전과 밀접한 관련이 있는 전통시장, 의료기관, 체육시설, 요양원, 경로당, 어린이공원, 어항, 축사, 어선 등 총 90개소를 대상으로 진행되며, 점검 이후 체계적인 사후관리도 병행할 계획이다.

The inspection will cover 90 facilities closely related to public safety, including traditional markets, medical institutions, sports facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, children’s parks, fishing ports, livestock farms, and fishing vessels, followed by systematic post-inspection management.

앞서 시는 지난 4월 8일, 18개 부서 직원 30명을 대상으로 부시장 주관 사전 교육을 실시해 ‘2026년 집중안전점검 추진계획’과 구체적인 점검 방법을 공유했다. 이를 통해 점검의 정확성과 품질 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Prior to the inspection, the city conducted a preliminary training session on April 8 for 30 staff members from 18 departments under the supervision of the Vice Mayor, sharing detailed inspection plans and methodologies. This is expected to enhance both the accuracy and quality of the inspections.

또한 민간 전문가와 사회단체가 참여하는 민관협의체를 구성하고, 다양한 전문 장비를 활용해 점검의 신뢰성과 실효성을 동시에 확보할 방침이다.

In addition, the city plans to establish a public-private consultative body involving private experts and civic organizations, while utilizing advanced equipment to ensure both reliability and effectiveness of the inspections.

#이인섭 안전과장은 “시민의 생명과 안전을 최우선으로 고려해 사전 점검과 철저한 관리에 나설 것”이라며 “앞으로도 ‘시민이 안전한 행복도시 동해시’ 구현을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee In-seop, head of the Safety Division, stated, “We will prioritize citizens’ lives and safety through proactive inspections and thorough management,” adding, “We will continue our efforts to build a safe and happy city for all residents.”
