동해지방해양수산청(청장 김채균)은 4월 20일부터 24일까지 동해항과 묵호항 일원에서 항만 내 사업장의 안전의식 제고를 위한 ‘2026년 상반기 항만안전 캠페인’을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries (headed by Commissioner Kim Chae-gyun) announced that it will conduct the “2026 First Half Port Safety Campaign” from April 20 to 24 at Donghae Port and Mukho Port to enhance safety awareness among port-related businesses.

이번 캠페인은 항만 종사자의 안전사고 예방과 안전문화 확산을 목적으로 추진되며, 동해·묵호항 내 하역사와 입주업체, 동해항운노조, 동해항만물류협회, 산업안전보건공단 등 약 100여 명이 참여할 예정이다.

The campaign aims to prevent safety accidents among port workers and promote a culture of safety, with approximately 100 participants including stevedoring companies, tenant businesses, the Donghae Port Transport Workers’ Union, the Donghae Port Logistics Association, and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

특히 4월 22일 오전 9시부터 10시까지 동해항 정문(4게이트)에서 합동 캠페인이 진행되며, 항만안전과 청렴의식 제고를 위한 결의와 함께 항만 출입자를 대상으로 ‘항만 출입 시 안전수칙’ 준수를 집중 안내할 계획이다.

In particular, a joint campaign will be held on April 22 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the main gate (Gate 4) of Donghae Port, where participants will pledge to strengthen port safety and integrity while actively promoting compliance with “Port Entry Safety Guidelines” to all entrants.

또한 항만운영 유관기관과 업·단체 종사자들의 자율적인 안전관리 역량을 강화하고, 현장 중심의 안전문화 확산을 통해 지속 가능한 항만 환경 조성에 기여할 방침이다.

The initiative also seeks to strengthen voluntary safety management capabilities among related organizations and workers, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable port environment through the spread of field-oriented safety culture.

#김채균 동해지방해양수산청장은 “항만안전 캠페인이 형식에 그치지 않고 실질적인 안전수칙 준수로 이어질 수 있도록 하겠다”며 “항만운송 종사자의 안전의식 제고는 물론, 하역사의 청렴문화 정착에도 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Commissioner Kim Chae-gyun stated, “We will ensure that this campaign goes beyond formality and leads to the practical implementation of safety rules,” adding, “We will make every effort to enhance safety awareness among port transport workers and establish a culture of integrity among stevedoring companies.”
