동해시시설관리공단은 장애인의 날을 맞아 관내 장애인을 대상으로 공공수영장 무료 개방 이벤트를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation announced that it will hold a free public swimming pool event for people with disabilities in celebration of Disability Day.

이번 행사는 장애인의 사회참여 확대와 건강 증진을 지원하고, 공공체육시설의 공익적 역할을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

This event was designed to support greater social participation and health promotion for people with disabilities, while strengthening the public role of community sports facilities.

무료 개방은 수영장 정기휴관일(월요일)을 고려해 4월 19일(일) 하루 동안 대체 운영되며, 운영 시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지다.

The free access will be provided on Sunday, April 19, instead of the regular Monday closure, and will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

행사는 근로자종합복지회관과 해오름스포츠센터 내 실내수영장에서 진행되며, 복지카드를 소지한 동해시 장애인이 대상이다.

The event will take place at the indoor swimming pools of the Workers’ Welfare Center and the Haeoreum Sports Center, and is open to Donghae citizens with disabilities who possess a welfare card.

이용 대상은 중증 장애인(1~3급)의 경우 본인과 동성 보호자 1인까지 무료 이용이 가능하며, 경증 장애인(4~6급)은 본인에 한해 무료 입장이 허용된다.

For those with severe disabilities (grades 1–3), free entry is granted to the individual and one same-gender guardian, while individuals with mild disabilities (grades 4–6) are eligible for free entry on their own.

공단은 이번 무료 개방을 통해 장애인의 체육활동 참여 기회를 확대하고, 일상 속 여가활동 지원을 통해 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The corporation expects that this initiative will expand opportunities for sports participation among people with disabilities and contribute to improving their quality of life through everyday leisure activities.

또한 공공기관으로서 사회적 약자를 배려하는 포용적 서비스 제공을 통해 지역사회 내 나눔과 상생의 가치를 확산하는 계기가 될 것으로 보고 있다.

As a public institution, it also aims to promote values of inclusion, sharing, and coexistence within the community by providing considerate services for socially vulnerable groups.
