동해시가 지역화폐 ‘동해페이’ 앱을 새롭게 개편해 오는 4월 말 선보인다.

The City of Donghae announced that it will launch a newly revamped version of the local currency app “Donghae Pay” at the end of April.

이번 리뉴얼은 시민 이용 편의성을 높이고 디지털 접근성을 강화하기 위한 조치로, 4월 29일 오픈을 목표로 하고 있다.

This renewal aims to improve user convenience and strengthen digital accessibility, with an official launch scheduled for April 29.

접근성 강화·기능 고도화 중심 개편

 Revamp Focused on Accessibility and Feature Enhancement

이번 개편에서는 ▲간소화 모드와 큰글씨 기능 도입을 통한 디지털 취약계층 지원 ▲가맹점 찾기 기능 개선 ▲정책지원금 안내 게시판 신설 ▲라벤더색 디자인 적용 등 사용자 중심 서비스 개선이 이뤄진다.

The update includes user-centered improvements such as ▲a simplified mode and large-text feature for digitally vulnerable users ▲enhanced merchant search functionality ▲a new policy subsidy information board ▲and a lavender-themed design.

특히 간소화 모드는 고령층 등 디지털 취약계층의 이용 장벽을 낮추는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

In particular, the simplified mode is designed to reduce barriers for elderly users and those less familiar with digital technology.

지역경제 핵심 플랫폼으로 자리매김

동해페이는 지역 내 소비 촉진과 소상공인 지원에 기여하는 대표적인 지역화폐로 자리잡고 있다.

Donghae Pay has established itself as a representative local currency contributing to boosting local consumption and supporting small businesses.

지난해 말 기준 가맹점 수는 4,883개소, 회원 수는 69,473명, 발행액은 811억 원 규모를 기록하며 높은 이용률을 보였다.

As of the end of last year, it recorded 4,883 affiliated merchants, 69,473 users, and a total issuance of approximately KRW 81.1 billion, demonstrating strong usage.

이용 활성화 및 참여 확대 지속 추진

 Continued Efforts to Expand Usage and Participation

동해시는 미가맹점과 미사용자를 대상으로 다양한 혜택을 적극 홍보하고, 가맹점 가입 확대와 시민 참여를 유도할 방침이다.

The city plans to actively promote various benefits to non-participating merchants and users, while encouraging broader participation and merchant enrollment.

또한 향후에도 기능 개선과 서비스 확대를 통해 시민들이 보다 편리하게 동해페이를 이용할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력할 계획이다.

Furthermore, the city will continue to improve features and expand services to ensure more convenient use of Donghae Pay for its citizens.
