“빵 300개로 전한 감동”… 강원도립대, 학생 손으로 만든 ‘기적의 나눔’

“배움이 나눔으로”… 강원도립대학교, 사랑의 빵 300개 전달

“Learning Shared as Giving”… Gangwon State University Delivers 300 Breads of Love

강원도립대학교(총장 최종균) 바리스타제과제빵과는 주문진지역사회보장협의체와 협력해 지역사회를 위한 ‘사랑의 빵 나눔 봉사활동’을 펼치며 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 가치 실현에 앞장섰다.

Gangwon State University (President Choi Jong-gyun), Department of Barista, Bakery & Pastry, carried out a “Sharing Bread with Love” volunteer activity in collaboration with the Jumunjin Community Security Council, taking the lead in practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) values.

이번 봉사활동은 전공 교육과 연계한 사회공헌 프로그램으로, 학생들이 직접 만든 빵 300여 개를 지역 내 취약계층에 전달하는 나눔 실천 활동이다. 학생들은 수업을 마친 뒤 약 4시간 동안 정성껏 빵을 만들었으며, 완성된 빵은 4월 9일 주문진읍사무소를 통해 전달됐다.

This volunteer activity is a social contribution program linked to the academic curriculum, where students baked and delivered approximately 300 breads to vulnerable groups in the community. After finishing classes, students spent about four hours preparing the bread, which was delivered through the Jumunjin Township Office on April 9.

특히 신입생들은 입학 후 약 한 달간 익힌 제과제빵 기술을 실전에 적용하는 기회를 얻었으며, 2학년 재학생들은 후배들을 지도하며 기술 전수와 함께 공동체 가치를 실천했다. 이번 활동은 김용준 교수의 지도 아래 학생들의 자발적 참여와 협업으로 진행됐다.

In particular, freshmen had the opportunity to apply the baking skills they learned over the past month, while sophomore students guided juniors, sharing techniques and fostering a sense of community. The activity was conducted under the supervision of Professor Kim Yong-jun, with active student participation and teamwork.

주문진지역사회보장협의체 이정희 위원장은 “학생들이 정성껏 만든 빵이 어려운 이웃들에게 큰 위로와 힘이 될 것”이라며 “지역과 대학이 함께하는 따뜻한 나눔이 지속되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Lee Jeong-hee, Chairperson of the Jumunjin Community Security Council, stated, “The bread made with sincerity by students will bring great comfort and strength to those in need,” adding, “We hope that this warm sharing between the community and the university continues.”

1학년 #심연우 학생은 “처음 배운 기술로 누군가에게 도움을 줄 수 있어 매우 보람 있었다”며 “앞으로 더 성장해 지역사회에 기여하는 제과제빵인이 되고 싶다”고 말했다.

Freshman student Shim Yeon-woo said, “It was very rewarding to help others with the skills I just learned,” adding, “I hope to grow further and become a baker who contributes to the community.”

강원도립대학교 바리스타제과제빵과는 그동안 다양한 지역 연계 봉사활동을 이어오며, 기술 교육을 넘어 나눔과 실천 중심의 인재 양성에 힘써왔다. 이러한 활동은 학생들의 전공 역량 강화와 더불어 공동체 의식과 사회적 책임을 함양하는 교육 과정으로 자리 잡고 있다.

The Department of Barista, Bakery & Pastry at Gangwon State University has continuously engaged in community-linked volunteer activities, focusing not only on technical training but also on cultivating talents centered on sharing and action. These efforts have become an essential educational process that enhances students’ professional skills while fostering social responsibility and community awareness.

#최근표 학과장은 “전공 교육과 지역사회 기여를 동시에 실현하는 교육 모델을 지향하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 ESG 가치 실현과 지역 상생을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Department Head Choi Geun-pyo stated, “We aim to establish an educational model that integrates academic learning with community contribution,” adding, “We will continue to expand various programs that promote ESG values and regional coexistence.”

한편, 강원도립대학교는 지역과 함께 성장하는 실무형 인재 양성을 목표로 산학협력과 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

Meanwhile, Gangwon State University plans to continuously expand industry-academia cooperation and social contribution programs to nurture practical talents who grow alongside the local community.
